I had an iPhone 4 for over a year and now had my S3 for a couple of months.

I bought both phones outright and have never had any insurance other than whatever cover my home contents would give me

I suppose I should have something specific for my phone:D. Could anyone suggest anything?

With my desire I had o2. It went up so much with the s3 that I went to "protect my bubble"

I do it though my home insurance provider but as a seperate policy. £12 for mine and my wife's combined. Endsleigh, I think

My home insurance covered for the loss of my Galaxy S when it got wet/damp/soaked/drowned.

Yeah I looked at putting mine on my home insurance. The great thing about carrier and dedicated policies is convenience.

With o2, I lost / had stolen my handset. The next day there was a guy at the door with a brand new replacement, including sim card activated against my number. Ready to use pretty much. My home insurance can't do that

My Galaxy S went into the washing machine on the Monday morning, I contacted the home insurance people straight away and visited their local office, ordered a replacement Galaxy S from Amazon and it was in my hands the next morning. i.e. less than 24 hours after the calamity. I had to pay the first

When I phoned the insurance company (Zurich) they requested that I forward the phone to them in a jiffy bag and they would examine it and advise. During that conversation they indicated that there was an office about 15 miles away from me. I jumped in the car straight away and that office authorised my purchasing a replacement and forwarded a cheque to cover the cost to me in the post about two days later. But it meant I had a replacement in my hands within 24 hours.
