I'm thinking of buying a Galaxy Note 10.1 (which I believe ships with android version 4.0) and have just discovered that Adobe is removing support for flash.
Can anyone explain, in simple terms, the effect of flash being removed by Adobe?
Here are some specific questions:
1. If I buy a Note now, loaded with 4.0 software (I think), does it come with flash preloaded?
2. If not, can I download it still?
3. If I later upgrade the tab to 4.0.* or Jelly Bean, will flash continue to be loaded, or will the upgrade remove it?
4. If it is removed during the upgade, can I download and install it again?
5. If it is removed and I cannot reload it, is there any alternative? For myself, I would want to be able to watch TV programs on the BBC iPlayer, the occasional YouTube video and the odd video that tends to be embedded in websites (like then Samsung tablet promotional videos). I may be wrong but don't these all need Flash? Would these simply be unavailable if I buy a Note 10.1 now and upgrade it to a later version of software later?
If there's no alternative, this seems like a very big problem but I've not even heard of it until now and I regularly scan the forums.
Thanks for any clarification.
