Help HOX New update....has it cured the signal dropping problem?

Hi guys as above, has the new update cured the signal dropping problem where it loses the signal and doesn't regain it until you do a airplane mode on/off? Mine still does this now and again and am hoping the update cures it! (still waiting for the update!)

Thanks

I'm betting it didn't. I've been trying everything under the sun and still get that damn issue. It drives me crazy because I never know if data is working as it should. When I'm connected to wifi I wind up calling myself hoping to hear my voicemail message just to make sure all is fine.

For me personally, this latest update has made things significantly worse.

On numerous occasions now the handset appears to be connected to the internet but isn't.

On multiple occasions the phone drops from the network completely and needs an airplane mode or a reboot to fix it.

Previous to the latest update I had the data issues, but not the phone signal issues. Hopefully this can be fixed, as its driving me mad, on O2 in the UK.

Cheers

I must say the opposite...

I am running on Orange/T-Mobile and had plenty of issues with my data not connecting..

After I installed the leaked 4.0.4 and formatted the phone and started from scratch I have had no problems to date....

Great news for me :)

Had the same issue myself on O2 prior to the 4.0.4 update. Whilst still on the last version I did a factory reset and fingers crossed it sorted it out. Thought it might have been a rogue app somewhere but can't say for certain.

Well the sense 4.1 update has definately cured this signal dropping and not regaining problem for me. Hasn't done it once whereas before it would do it at least once a day.

Has it cured it for anyone else?

That's great to hear. Unfortunately that isn't the case for me. I'm running Android 4.04 with Sense 4.1 and I still get the issue. The interesting thing is that since AT&T flipped on LTE in my area I haven't had any drops. If I get into an area with HSPA+ it'll drop here and there. I'm convinced that the root of my problem lies somewhere within that. Since I'm mostly in a LTE coverage area though my phone experience has been vastly improved.
