Root Rebooting issue in CWM...

Rebooting from CWM only seems to work when I only do light tasks, but if do something "bigger" like performing a backup, or installing a ROM it just doesn't seem to reboot normally after I exit CWM. The screen just stays black and slightly backlit... I tried waiting it out, but after a long while I'll have to press the power button for ten seconds and then roboot it like that... Everything works right and all after that, but the rebooting issue is an real drag...

Is this normal, what can I do? Am I suppose to wait it out, and for how long? lol

What does your CWM look like ? Do you have to press both volume up & down to enable it to make selections ?

It's "CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4", and yeah, you have to scroll down the list three times to have the "Back menu button enabled." Anyway, after I make a backup or install a ROM I would "- reboot system now" and then I would get the black screen and it would stay like that... instead of going straight to the HTC Quietly Brilliant screen... :/

Ya that version of CWM is screwy for sure. It would NOT restore any of my backups lost stock backup from this CWM  get it on the HTC Desire touch CWM 5.8.0. something, google search it & then download it via tha CWM website.

I gave TWRP v2.2.0 a try, and I think that it's way better than the CWM I was using. Not only did I no longer have the reboot thing happening, but I didn't experience any of the other small issues I found in CWM. :)

Have you tried to restore a backup yet ? I believe TWRP will not restore a CWM backup or vice versa. If you would test that out & let me know that would be cool.
