Help where is the CPU info

i have the GT-i9300 model and i understand the cpu = Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9.

where do i find this info on the phone? settings???
 
Go to settings > developer options and scroll down and click CPU usuage (oops I misread you)

however either way Im sure the info will be in the dev options if at all.

Its got the Samsung Exynos 1.4ghz quad. Based on the a9 architecture but is not an actual cortex

yes, i get this info doing a search on specs, but was hoping somehow i can see the info on the phone somewhere.

also, i read somewhere the s3 i-9300 model (i have the international version gt-i9300) has dual core instead of quad core. is this correct?

The international GT-i9300 (Which I have) has a 1.4Ghz Samsung Exynos Quad core.

Some of the US versions are 1.5Ghz S4 Krait dual core as the quad core doesn't support the LTE bands used in the US. Due to the overhead of LTE, the Krait devices are 2GB RAM too

interesting. you would think the quad core (int'l version) is superior than the dual core at least in performance. it's hard to believe quad core does not support LTE.

i wonder how many people know this prior deciding which version to buy (dual core vs. quad core and from int'l version to verizon to at&t model...ect)
 
Is there a way to see for yourself what your phone has for a processor? Not that i don't believe the quoted "specs" they tell you, it would be nice to see for myself. :)
 
In the setcpu app, in the info section, choose cpu there's your info on the actual hardware.

Don't know if you could access this without root...

It does out perform the dual core. Bear in mind though the exynos is a9 architecture where the krait is similar to what the a15 architecture is. A quad core s4 would be almost double the performance of the exynos if it existed. A15 quads are just around the corner.

It does support LTE, just not the US bands used for LTE. A9 is old architecture now so its no surprise. It Supports LTE in Korea. Not many countries have LTE. I don't think USA had LTE when the a9 came out
