Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems as if you are trusting someone whom has merely repeated what has already been found on this forum... Sorry, I may sound like a jerk, but I have become very cautious when it comes to believing new info about this phone.
 
Why should we believe this guy on the verizon forums, he's not told us anything we didn't already know, he could be just repeating what he's read here. I call BS till he provides creditable evidence.

Well, two people have reported about training on the HTC Incredible. I know, we can't be 100% sure that they are credible but honestly, its better than anything we've had in the past weeks.........

Im down to believe these guys right now, im tired of getting no information.
 
Considering it has an 8MP camera and the processor it has, I'm sure it would be capable of 720p recording. I'll bet it won't be long until the software limitation could be removed (if it has one).

If they type it into their computer as "HTC I" and get a result, does that mean that the final device name will be the "HTC Incredible?"

Idk, maybe because we are the largest HTC Incredible forum/thread out there on google. We pop up first :D

But yea, i guess i would like to know how u found us also besides what i said. Though i dont see how this matters that much.

No I asked about shipments. He didnt think the Sales Dept got anything in as far as phone. Said they have a meeting either tomorrow or wednesday about April - and that was pretty standard, but they did get in a shit load of advertising stuff - couldnt tell whats in there since its not his job and they weren't opening stuff until the meeting. I never said that he said it will be out within 2 weeks, I said that when hes tested phones it typically means they will be coming soon. He tests them first, and plays with it for a few days so that when they start selling and repairing he can tell the salemen whats what and how to operate and troubleshoot it. Pretty standard, he did it for 2 days with the Droid before the Salemen got their hands on one.

I don't wanna be that guy, but I was thinking along the same lines.....I don't think this is gonna be released as the incredible, so if it's in the Verizon system, my guess would be it's HTC "Real Name" or ADR6300.

I give it like one or two days before all the stores get it.

Take into account, not every employee knows about the device, or follows threads like these for the matter of fact. Of course theres probably enough that are phone geeks like us too, but i still doubt all of them know about forums or threads like these.

Don't worry, it will all start trickling in one by one.

Yea, no i've heard from other people also that after testing or training with the device, the release is very soon. Especially with VZW

Does it require more processing power to encode at 720p then decode? Because the chip has to control the camera/manage the writing while recording ... but it only has to decode it when playing.

What is most hilarious is that all these employees we've been bugging will be like: "OH! THIS is what they were talking about!" :p

I believe it does take more processing power to encode and record rather than just playing back a 720p source file, but I'm no expert, so I cannot give you a definitive answer.
