Music vs WAV files

I have WAV files that I use for notifications or ringtones stored in an SD card in a folder called Sounds. I also have music stored on my SD card in a folder called Music. When I play music, I dont want to hear the WAV files in the Sound folder. Is there a music app that will only play from a specific folder or at least for a specific file type, for example MP3?

Can you change the name of the Sound folder to Notifications?
