Formatting 64gb micro SD card with ICS

one way to format the card is to use your main computer to format the card using FAT-32 file structure. any card reader will do the trick. after fortmatting with your computer just insert it into the RAZR.

I just purchased a Sandisk 32gb microsdhc card. If you use the adapter and put it in your computer it should format automatically. Then just insert into your device. This method worked perfect for me.

Got it. My mac had a drop down menu for formating. But they call it MS-DOS FAT ??

Whatever, my 64gb Sandisk card works like a champ.

I just bought a Sandisk 32gb microsdhc as well. I have attached it to my computer and it formatted as FAT32. If I put it in my phone it seems OK when it's empty. However if I copy the contents of my old 16GB (mp3's, pics, etc) to the new 32GB (on the PC, obviously) and try to put it back in phone, the phone just hangs - screen won't go on, can do anything until I pull the 32GB card, and then I can finally reboot.

What's the deal? Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks

On my windows PC I plugged in the phone via usb cable. Made a new folder on my desktop so it would be easy to fing. Copied all the contents of my old microsd card (simply highlight everything one your old sd card), copy then paste to the new folder you created. Disconnect your phone. Then I used the adapter that came with the new microsd card, but I imagine any microsd card adapter will suffice. I put the new microsdhc card in the adapter, put it in the sd card slot on my PC and then simply copied the files from the new folder you created to the new sd card. Then install the new sd card in your phone, start it up and you should be good to go.

Thanks,
That is basicly the process I did, except I pulled the old card and opened on PC via adapter, so i thought is some formatting issue.

I am going to try antoher computer, because my work one sometimes gets weird. I think I am also goona try hooking the empty card in the phone via USB to see if that makes a difference.
