Help Desktop Music software that works for S3?

Hello,

Are there any software that recognizes all the playlists I have in my Samsung Galaxy S3? Also, any software that lets me create a playlist on my computer and it'll show up on my Samsung Galaxy S3?

I was a Droid X owner and I used Winamp to manage my music and create playlists for that phone. Winamp does detect my S3, but not my playlists. This is a huge problem for me because I have a bunch of music and playlists of my phone with about 50-70 songs per playlist. This is why i create my playlist on the computer (Winamp), because it would be frustrating to point and touch 50-70 songs one at a time on the phone. Winamp lets me create playlists but it does not transfer over to the Galaxy S3.

are you trying to view your music file on your phone?

if so do you have usb debugging enabled before you plug it into your pc.

Settings > developer options > usb debugging.

I can already see my music. The problem is when I create playlists on Winamp they don't show up on my phone. I assume it's because the connection is MTP and not USB Mass Storage (like my Droid X). I'm wondering if there are any music managers like Winamp that lets me create playlists on my desktop and show up on my Samsung Galaxy S3, even when the connection is MTP.

I believe those playlists only show up in the winamp APP on the phone. I've used winamp in the past, its a pain

On my Droid X, it actually works on any music players such as the stock player, Poweramp, Mixzing, etc. I'm assuming it only works if the device is in USB Mass Storage mode. Unfortunately, S3 only has MTP.
 
Sure it doesn't help with your previous playlists, but I like to make playlists on Google Music because they can be made and played on the browser and on the phone and sync immediately both ways. Just upload 20,000 of your favorite songs and go to town.
 
I haven't been able to make a playlist on comp then transfer. I've tried a few diff players as well. I think it's a Samsung thing, because I've done it with other manufacturers, phones and music players (not all, but most). I agree it's a horrible pain, especially if you have to rest your phone for any reason!
 
I use Windows Media Player 12 to synch my desktop's playlist to my S3's external SDHC.

WMP12 will update the stock music player's playlist. Because I use Power Amp, I will then re-export the stock music player's playlist to Power Amp.

The only quirk is that I need to unmount and remount the SDHC before using WMP12 to synch to the GS3 (e.g. if I have deleted or added music to the WMP12 playlist). Otherwise these changes won't get reflected to the GS3 stock music player playlist. Dunno why.
