Help S3 Gallery to FB...What Gives?

Hi all,

Hope it's cooler where you are than where I live...it's 106f outside right now:mad:

So, it's a great time to ask a question about my S3 Gallery...On my old Droid X, if I long pressed a pic in the gallery, I'd get an option to post it to FB. On my new S3, posting directly to FB is not an option.

What's the easiest, fastest way to get a pic from the S3 to FB? As always, your help is more than just appreciated!

Cheers,

Steve in So Cal

My SIII gives me a share to Facebook button in the top bar in the gallery.

Here's a screenshot of it:

Is that what you're looking for?

Call me kookie, call me crazy, but I do NOT have that icon. I do have the other three. How do I move a FB icon up to the top of the gallery page?

It would be HUGE to be able to post directly to FB from the S3 gallery. :)

cheers,
Steve

From what it appears, the share option you use the most and/or the most recent will stay at the top... So basically if you use the fb option a few times, it will just appear at the top unless you start using something else all the time.

Indeed it changes based on what you use most often. OR just press the button next to it and select facebook

The button next to it, which looks like a "less than" sign does not give FB as an option.

Are you saying then that when I log into FB a number of times, that icon will show up in the top tray, or do I need to log into FB through the mobile app in order to make this happen?

thanks,
Steve

Thanks for your assistance but exactly my point...there is no FB option...

Do you have the facebook app installed on your SIII? If you don't, then that's why it isn't an option.

Wait...you were looking for the facebook icon before installing facebook

Well, I guess I was:confused::confused::confused:after I bought the phone I used FB frequently from the browser.

So, when folks said it would show up on that upper tray if used frequently, and it didn't, I thought there was a problem. Noobie mistake, I didn't realize I had to install the FB app to make that happen...

So, I installed the FB app even though the reviews are horrific, to say the least. Now I have the icon up top when I go to my Quick Pic gallery...easy! And, BTW, my FB app seems to work perfectly with my S3, all the naysayers comments aside...:)

Cheers,
Steve
