Metropcs LTE vs ..........

These are some of the speeds i get in the las vegas area. Im on that $55 Promo plan.

Still I don't understand why people compare speed from a top carrier like Verizon with MetroPCS. There are two types of 4G in the market: contract 4G from Verizon, ATT, T-mobile, Sprint, and prepaid non-contract 4G like MetroPCS, Boost, Virgin Mobile, H20, SimpleMobile, etc.

It's very unfair to compare a contract service with a prepaid service. To each its own. Look for example, on T-Mobile, 4G speeds with contract get 10Mbps and above, while its own prepaid 4G counter part receive 3Mbps to 4Mbps.

If I want to fairly match MetroPCS would be against Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, 4G prepaid T-Mobile, and the likes. In this scenario, MetroPCS gets a little ahead against these carriers in terms of speeds, although speeds aren't consistent in different times of the day and locations.

So all in all, MetroPCS is good for the money, and of course, we would like to get higher speeds, but when I look at sometimes Boost, Virgin Mobile, SimpleMobile (with their 2GB caps), I consider MetroPCS the best option for 4G.

Yup and they are getting better and better. Something that most people don't know and overlook is that metro pcs was the first carrier with LTE 4G.

They also overlook that metro was also first to have android 4g phone Samsung indulge also first to volte
