Root [Verizon] What is your favorite Jellybean ROM

i have tried numerous jellybean rom's recently and have found issues with each one, AOKP, CM10 Nightly, Beantown, etc. and experienced problems like sucky data connection, no sound on phone calls, among others.

But now i am running TastemyBeans (actual name might be different) and have no issues the best thing i like about it is it's just like ICS version...but with things like google now and some other jellybean features... i missed the motion gestures and other ics like features....

Feel Free to chime in on your personal opinions

If you let me know which variant of the gs3 you have I'll move this over to the relevant all things root sub forum:)

I like CM10 but with all the functionality you lose, I'd have to say Synergy is better.

I'd love to know what features you're referring to. I personally only miss the direct calling and how your Facebook albums would sync in your gallery.

Smart Alerts, Smart Stay, S Beam, Pop Up Play, Direct Call, sync Facebook gallery, much nicer camera app AND lets not forget the biggest feature of them all, a stable data connection. CyanogenMod really drop the ball on data connectivity.

AOKP. Thieves in the den. Rob from everyone, live in the biggest castle. CM10, JB, Custom Kernals, etc. Check out Phantoms ROM. Everything works. If it doesn't it's YOUR fault. lol. Just search Phantom AOKP.

I don't own a computer. I used a friends comp to root, and flashed cm10 off ROM manager. I wanna try synergy, I did my best to do it with out a comp but it failed. Did I do something wrong or do I have to have a comp? I downloaded the file, moved it to my SD card in Linda file manager long pressed it and hit "add to zip" , rebooted into cwm and tried to flash it, no go...

Use the file manager to move the ROM to the root of your SD card don't rename it. Reboot to recovery and factory reset. Press install from internal storage. Go to the bottom and select the ROM. Wipe dalvik/cache. Reboot.

I tried Phantoms ROM last night it was smooth but i didnt like some things that you could do on other ROMs

I've been using Synergy Beta .2 for about a week and am happy with it so far. I'll be happier once Esch puts in his usual tweaks (especially the toggles in the notification pull-down).

Phantom's Rom has the same issues as any other CM10 rom. Loud in-call volume that isn't changeable (although i havent tested it), opening camera will display gallery has stopped working, sometimes and low call and external recording playback. There are probably more.

Do you really loose all those features when flashing custom ROMs?

I'm assuming that you mean do you lose the Touchwiz features (the way your phone came out of the box) such as the motion features. With an AOSP ROM such as CM10 or AOKP, you will not have all of the Touchwiz features. IMO, you gain many features with any custom ROM, but you have to decide what you want. No ROM will have everything you want unless you build it yourself. You gain features on top of Touchwiz with ROM's such as Synergy.
