Jawbone not connect via bluetooth on HTC Magic

I haven't been able to connect to my Jawbone headset at all. I am able to see other bluetooth devices however the jawbone does not come up. Yes i've put my HTC magic in discoverable mode, Yes i've put my headset in pairing mode and still does not come up in the list of bluetooth devices. I tried it with two Jawbones and both of them did not show up. Has anyone experienced the same issue or knows how to fix this?

I've tried a Jawbone II and and the latest one which is the exact same headset as Jawbone II but they've added an option for the ear piece.

Its rather odd that its not picking up the Jawbone in discoverable mode. Hmm I have no idea why it wouldnt see it.

And FYI, the latest Jawbone, isnt exactly the same as the II. They fixed it so that people can still hear you even when its not pressed up against your face. Which was a common complaint about the II.

I use an original Jawbone every day with my Magic without issue.

My phone says paired but not connected to my jawbone- how can I connect it?

So when you go into the Bluetooth settings the MAC address of your Jawbone is shown with 'Paired but not connected'?

Is your Jawbone on? It should just connect automatically.

Have you tried a long press on the Jawbone mac id and selecting 'Connect'?
If you long press and select 'Options' is the 'Phone' item ticked? (where it says 'use for phone audio')

I use mine daily and simply switch bluetooth on, then switch the jawbone on once the bluetooth symbol shows on the notification bar. The bluetooth icon then changes to show that it is connected.

I've used my Jawbone with multiple different phones and laptops without ever having a problem. Can you try connecting to it with a PC to see if it's an issue with the Jawbone itself?

How to put the Jawbone ICON in pairing mode?
Answer
Follow these steps to put the Jawbone ICON in pairing mode.
1. Start with the headset OFF (slide the power switch to OFF, the position where you cannot see the blue indicator).
2. Press and hold the TALK button
3. Slide the power switch ON.
4. Wait for LED starts to flash red and white.
5. Release the TALK button.

The headset is now in discovery or pairing mode. Have your phone search for Bluetooth devices. When found you may be prompted for a passkey, enter 0000.
