Help HTC ONE X - MMS stuck on "Downloading"

I received a MMS last night and it is stuck on downloading. I have searched the net and tried numerous fixes:

• Turning Auto-Retrieve off
• Clearing the stock messages app cache
• Force stop on stock messages app
• Rebooting

try turning autorecieve off and then restarting and a download button should appear (IIRC)

Is your MMS APN correct? Also, will it download if you switch to a 3G signal as opposed to a G one (presuming you can connect via 3G)?

Good point, I hadn't thought of that... a G signal (GPRS or 1st gen tech) might be so slow that the MMS server will time out before you finish downloading it...

How do i check the APN?

Ive tried downloading on, G, 3G, H and Wi-Fi

Is there a way to force the download button and stop it saying downloading

Ive tried handcent and Go SMS and they both are also stuck on downloading. Why are the stock messaging apps so crap. I had problems with my desire before this

How do i check the APN?

On mine it's Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. You'll need to check with your provider for the correct settings.

I had the same problem and it was my APN settings that were slightly wrong. I got the correct settings off someone on here who was with the same network as me (the ones my network provider gave me were wrong!!).
