alternative to pressing home button

I've been looking around, but I can't seem to find a simple solution for an alternative to the home button. In some aftermarket web browsers there are gestures to take you to the home web page, but I'm not having any luck finding one for the S3 gestures. 
I'll continue to look around, and maybe see if one of my S3 friends can help.

As far as I'm aware it's not a feature on the s3. You can however use a third party app which should do what you're after.

You may like this more, since there are no icons to clog up the screen and you can use this to not just link back to your homescreen, but any app or widget. Take a look in the Play Store. This app is very similar to a Cydia developers tweak for the iphone.

No kidding. Android OS apps are so vast, improving, and updating it's impossible to know them all. But with all the users on here combined (and XDA), I always learn something new, nearly every day. It's just plain awesome to have this Android community.
