Root root

A root method is not available yet that I've seen yet. The phone only came out a few days ago. The spectrum took about a week or so before someone got it. We just need to wait and it will be available soon enough.
 
Hope the deving for this phone takes off, and lg not neglecting it. This will be a heavy contender , I test drove it to day man is it nice.
 
Just got done talking to Dan Rosenberg, and will be getting with him hopefully soon. He was the one who got the Spectrum rooted. So hopefully he can do the same for us.
 
Don't know yet I've been so busy at work and haven't been able to get with him. He wants to try and get it done using a vpn client to look on my screen and work on the phone, I don't think he would have an issue with working with someone as long as he can vpn to tinker with it
 
jebran allowed me access to his phone, was able to get it rooted and will be publishing shortly.

Without one on hand I have no intent to look at doing a custom recovery for it, and it's likely a signature checking bootloader (ie locked). Until someone verifies or releases stock firmware, I wouldnt attempt to flash the recovery nor boot partitions.
