htc One X first battery charge

Hi everyone! I'm new at these forums and I just wanted to have an advice.

I have my fully new htc One X in the box and what should i do with first charging?
Should I take my htc out of the box and not turning it on connect to the charger and let it charge for 12 hours?
Or should I turn it on and then charge it for 12 hours?
Or should I "play" with it till it drains all the battery and then charge till 100%?

which method should i choose?

Its usually best to charge 100% off then "play" with it

how do i know that it's 100% charged?
maybe there is a certain amount of hours I should charge it for first time and then turn it on?

It'll let you know either with a green light or just saying fully charged once its done pull it off the charger and enjoy

will it say that it's fully charged even if the device is off? :O

Yes when its off and charging you will see a charging battery just press the lock button to make it show again long press the lock/power button to turn on (best is to leave off and charge up)
