Help Improving Signal Strength?

I've noticed when going down the road my wife's iphone holds signal better than my s3. Like when changing towers my takes quite a bit longer to find signal again to continue loading a Web Page. Is there anyway to improve the galaxy s3 connectivity ability? I'm with at&t.
