Help Galaxy S3 Swipe Lag WHen Installing/Updating Apps??

Hi, Ive recently been having a problem with my Galaxy S3 in that it wouldnt send texts sometimes until i restarted the phone and had to keep doing it so I went to a phone repair shop and they said they opened it up but couldnt find anything wrong with it so I did a factory reset.
I have noticed though that whenever I goto install an app or update an app as Im swiping across the screens there tends to be lag til the app has installed/updated..is this normal or is my phone screwed? Does it happen to anyone else?

maybe you have a lot running in the background?

when its lagging hold home button to get into task manager and swipe to close things you dont need running in the background
 
sorry i Shouldve mentioned that there is nothing else running in background. It lags/jumps for a second or 2 when swiping on the home screen as its installing or updating something(says/shows in the notification bar). Once they've updated/installed, all goes back to normal but the lag sure is annoying. Would you or someone else be able to test it out for me and see if it happens for you also?

i just tested on a 14MB update, no lag at all on mine, maybe try a factory reset
 
...i already did a factory reset. Could it be a hardware issue?
I dont think you get what im trying to explain. Normal swiping across home screens is fine UNTIL i try to install an app or update an app. For that split second while its installing or updating it lags on the swipe then goes back to normal straight after the app has updated or installed.

So this is what you are concerned about? That "split second" of lag while the phone is in the middle of an install or update?
 
yes, simply because I cant remember it ever doing that before I took it to the phone shop for repairs. Is it normal for it to do that?
 
well heres the thing. Ive asked 1 simple question expecting 1 simple answer and that question was is it normal for the phone to do that while its updating/installing the apps?
 
All android devices will lag while updating. The device is writing a lot of information to the memory and you can't do anything else while it's doing that...at least very well. Updates are only once every day or every few days. What android does is use all it's transfer power during updates (ins and outs to the internal memory). Every phone I've ever had (including my nexus 7) had shown some lag during updates at some point. This is a normal android process.
