Root [ROM]Sense_4_villec2_Evo V 4G-odex-v4 07/11/2012 Daily Driver-MMS Working

Is anyone else having problems charging the battery while the phone is off? As of right now the only way I can charge the battery is by keeping the phone on. If I shut the phone down and plug it into the charger I get the red blinking light of death; then I have to remove the battery in order to turn the phone back on. I reverted back to the stock ROM to see if I would get the same results, which I didn't. I am able to charge the battery with the phone off with the stock ROM. As of right now I'm running the stock ROM and will flash this sense 4 ROM soon to see if this is a serious problem or not.
 
I'm going to flash this ROM but I was wondering since I have S on and I only have the stock recovery that you get when you root so will this affect me and has anyone else tried this? Thanks in advance!
 
Ok. I updated my profile to fix my text error like I always do and now I don't have data. I knew you to switch to another rom but I forgot to since it was a habbit just to do it. Is this perminant or temporary and how can I fix it cause I've tried reinstalling it already but that didn't work.

read the very begining page of this thread..some other ppl had that issue and shared there fix..

also in my op i directed to not update prls and profiles on this rom..use stock to do so..check out the first page
 
It is a great ROM, and with the build.prop tweaks and dual core mods installed I can bench 3900+ which isn't that bad. Sense 4 is actually pretty nice. Everything I wanted in Sense is finally there now. Especially the app drawer changes.

Does anyone know of a way to get the lockscreen to automatically turn on when a text is received like in Sense 3.6 though?

You would need lee droid tweaks. And could someone make like a remix to this rom with the tweaks an dual core mod enabled?

give me a day or two and ill add some of the tweaks..can't add leedroid to the rom though..chubbz said the developer of leedroid would not give permission to include it..and sense this is his base i would respect his wishes..

Alright sounds good. Add some tweaks maybe a anthraz kernel with chads permission and this rom would be great

Sorry guys..still haven't done much of anything lately..this time of the year for me is really busy..winter time I only work around eight hours a day...summer time I'm working like twelve to fifteen hours a day..most of the time I post I am moooobilllleee :D

Hopefully chubbz updates his base soon...lots of stuff has changed sense the last update..especially Google now working ..hold tight guys I haven't forgot about this ROM..just gotta find some time

first boot takes a while. if for some strange reason it doesnt boot, and it should. but if it doesnt, yank the battery..put it back in, boot hboot. boot recovery and either restore your backup or try flashing again. make sure to do full wipes data and cache. oh yeah which hboot are you using? this should only work with 1.57 stock or jbear or 1.58. unless something has changed in my absence
 
I've been using the Anthrax kernels with this ROM without any problems. But the new kernels don't work very well with it anymore. Since some of the new ones were released, I get lots of random reboots. Also the phone will get extremely laggy, as if the CPU is running at a few hundred MHz. Like...it takes 10 seconds for the phone to unlock kind of laggy. Then it'll speed up after a minute or two. This is regardless of the governor used.

Also WiFi doesn't work well. If I'm connected, and travel out of my network's range, I won't be able to reconnect to the network unless I reboot my phone.
 
Just here to show that any updates aren't only wanted, but appreciated :)

(Also, can anyone confirm which mods work with this rom without doing any collateral damage?)
