I want to start off by saying that I have been following this thread since the double digits and it makes me sick as to how much you guys post on here. Yes it is amusing and I love the enthusiasm you guys share with me in regards to the release of the Incredible. It is a quite aggravating that I have to read through about 30+ pages every time I log onto this damn site. Cheers and keep up the good work posting. It keeps me occupied at work! :)

Mississippi Meathook. Not that bad but my last for the night. Maybe if I stop now, the mods will be nice and just stick me on probation instead of outright banning me.

G'night, yeah i'm done too. see you all in the AM and have an Incredible night!

Nope. You can return it within 30 days with no penalties to your NE2, etc. You will have to pay a $35 restocking fee but I figure its like a lease payment on a car. I got to use a brand new phone for 30 days and it's a small price to pay to be sure I have the phone I want, which is an Incredible.

I bought an Eris on 3/18 and hoping the Incredible drops before my 30 days are up. It's helping me keep my sanity during this whole ordeal. It was good advice from someone on this forum.

As far as I'm aware, the $35 restocking fee only applies if you trade for another device model within 3 days of return. I was also told that it did not apply to V.I.P. status accounts. I bought and Eris back in January and did not send in the rebate and was able to return it with no penalty at all, a couple of weeks later I ordered a Droid online and played with it for thirty days (even rooted and unrooted it) and returned it with no penalty as well. Yesterday I ordered a Devour to go ahead and "try out". Just keep track of your days and have a back up device to revert to and I wouldn't worry about it. Also, you only get 1 exchange, the restock fee would then apply but I have seen no mention on limits on outright returns.

Ok, I have been meaning to ask this for a while - Costco has a Verizon kiosk in their stores - at least here, anyway. At any rate, they have a "no questions asked" 90 DAY return policy on their phones. 100% unconditional! And yes, they offer the Droid and Eris, among other phones. They also give you a free $25 accessory kit. Just curious as to why this hasn't been brought up in here before.

Wow, I didn't realize that it was 90 days on cell phones. That's incredible, but the problem is that the last time I was looking at phones in Costco (back when I was actually considering the Droid, silly me :o) they were still asking $200 for the Droid while Amazon had it for $50.

Turns out, the kiosks are run by an outside company who contracts with Costco to put a cell phone kiosk in the warehouses. They offer the accessory kits and a longer return policy but their prices just don't seem to be as competitive as other retailers since it's not truly "warehouse prices".

Did you buy online or in a Verizon store? I told the Verizon rep that I never had a smartphone and I wasn't sure if I wanted something like the Eris. We discussed the specifics about returning, NE2, etc. in detail and he was adamant about the $35 restocking fee. His explanation was once a phone has been used, the local store has to ship it back to Verizon to be used as a refurb, but the local store is "out" a phone that cannot be resold as "new". Seemed pretty logical but as we know, it depends on the rep/day/time/store/weather/etc. as to the answer you'll get.

I have a back up - my orange EnV . . . please God let the Incredible come out before April 15th! :)

I purchased and returned the Eris to the same VZW corp store, they also tried to pressure me when I bought it about the restock fee but if you read the policy it is laid out pretty clearly. They also told me that they cant re sell them as new so I should be sure of the phone I wanted before I purchased. I'm willing to bet that if you called up customer service, they would be somewhat horrified by the in store employees saying that u better get the right phone the first time cuz its a hassle for them.

Did anyone post this yet? I know this isn't Incredible, but for those Verizon lovers that are jealous of the Sprint Evo, I thought I would share. I just saw this in the Evo Forums.

Sprint's HTC EVO may be sold on Verizon as HTC Venture

If this was posted in the last day, I apologize for the redundancy. I am a day and a half behind and not enough time to get through them all right now.

So, now that the change in the BOGO deal seems official/final, what are our thoughts?
(as earlier stated by someone, VZW is now offering BOGO on the pre plus ($50) and the pixi plus ($30), but no other phones.)

My $.02/wishful thinking : the lack of any android BOGO deal may point at the fact that they'll be pushing for sales of a new android device. (maybe something incredible?)

In either case I can't wait for a phone any more than I already have. I'm practically neon green with envy over my friends' Droids. The Incredible will have to do.

OK, my disclaimer is I was a retail sales representative until last month.

OK, if u r eligible for an upgrade you get the Droid Eris to get you by until the Incredible comes out in a few weeks and you can exchange the Eris for the Incredible.

In that case, IN A CORPORATE RETAIL STORE:
You can return the device within 30 days and exchange with another device in the store, you pay the difference, & a 35 dollar restocking fee. Your two year contract continues on the new device.

In an authorized agent (Costco, Best Buy) exchange/return periods may vary 30-90 days.

BUT, WHAT HAPPENS IF THE INCREDIBLE DOESNT COME OUT WITHIN THE 30 DAY RETURN WINDOW ON THE ERIS?

Well, you have two choices, and if you want the Incredible, choose my choice #2!!!!!!

Choice 1 : As I said, u can exchange for another device IN THE STORE and pay a $35 restocking fee. but you have missed out on the incredible, cuz it hasnt been released. Your two year contract was renewed, and you are no longer eligible for an upgrade.

You can't exchange the Eris for the Moto Droid for instance, and then later exchange for the Incredible. You are only allowed one exchange.
Don'T Choose option #1.

OPTION #2 - WHO SAYS YOU HAVE TO GET ANOTHER NEW DEVICE?????
If you have purchased the eris and used your upgrade but want to be able to get the Incredible when it is finally released YOU SHOULD RETURN THE DEVICE AND GO BACK TO YOUR OLD HANDSET!!!!!

If a customer brings back a device within the 30 trial period and elects to go back to their old device then no restocking fee is charged. AND HIS/HER TWO YEAR CONTRACT WILL BE ERASED.

NOW YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE INCREDIBLE WHEN IT FINALLY COMES OUT and you will have gotten 29 days of use of the Eris for free. Because you brought the Eris back, was given a refund in total, went back to your old phone, did not have to pay a restocking fee, had your two year contract erased, making you eligible for the Incredible when its released.

Hope that helps.

If this isn't an early April fools day joke (Article posted March 29th), I don't know how to feel about this. I've been anxiously waiting for the Incredible to release for MONTHS, and now this news comes up? One one hand, I want to finally upgrade from this enV Touch to a smartphone already (android), and the Incredible seemed to be the one, but to get a phone with a larger screen, ready for the LTE network when it launches, drastically improving the speed (when it's available in my area), etc would be tough not to wait for. Waiting 2 more weeks for the Incredible (if it releases in around 2 weeks) is going to be hard enough the way it is, but I really don't want to be stuck in a contract for 2 more years on 3G without being eligible for an upgrade until then. Ahhhhhh.... crapppppppp. Sorry for the rant. If you's would like to help me out here, your input would be greatly appreciated :D

Well put, that is exactly the point I was also trying to convey.

I'm about to pee my pants! Just got done studying and checked the Testman website one more time and it was up. I did a screen grab. I hope this shows up here. I'm not quite sure how to do it and make it show the picture.

You go to testman.verizonwireless.com But don't waste your time. That picture, I'm certain, is an April Fool's joke.
