Black Samsung Galaxy S3 on o2 Uk

Hi,

New to the forum. Im switching from Iphone to S3,but have been holding off since launch for the black version.

Does anyone know when its due out on contract with o2 in the Uk?

O2 keep things close to their chest. If they haven't announced it, no one here will know. if you ask O2 at this point, their staff probably haven't even heard of it.

Yeah o2 say they have no info. But doesn't harm to ask around.

Indeed. O2 are a nightmare. When I got my HTC desire, in release day, we had to keep calling because only one of the call centres had heard if it. The other 2 had not... ridiculous

That's slapdash for such a big company. I know any thing is possible - but is there a chance the black version might not get stocked/sold with a carrier in the Uk do you think?

Seems very strange a black version wasn't 1 of the 1st colours carriers here received...Though i suppose releasing a black version once sales for the other colours dip could be the business plan, then again you risk losing business if you dont supply what people want to buy.
 
I think it will be released here, even if you have to upgrade through CPW, which would be better as it wouldn't be carrier branded. O2 are pretty slow at software updates (or were previously).
 
With the release of the Black S3 finally now with Expansy here in the Uk , is it likely now that carriers like O2 will stock it in the next few weeks?
 
Its possible. I'm sure they wouldn't want to miss out on sales. It depends what their stock is like for pebble and white though...
 
I spoke to CPW before picking up my S3 in September, they didn't think they would be stocking the black version as they couldn't offer deals on the handset and the cost of an unlocked no contract version would be to high.

I was told they were focusing heavily on the 16gb S3 and iPhone market.

I got a white s3 the other day,simply to use the phone for the 1st time,to see if i like it,with the intention of sending back even if i like it and wait for a black 1 to be released.

Pretty impressed so far with the phone,so think ill send back and hold tight a few weeks more for a black 1,though an o2 rep i spoke to said if they didnt have the black version by now its unlikely they will ever get it,though every worker tends to say different things.
 
Im just testing my phone out,but I cant see if my phone is 3g signal.At the top of the phone,i can see my wifi an battery percentage,beside that is 4 bars rising to make a triangle shape,so im guessing thats my signal,but it doesnt say 3g or o2 beside it. So how do i know if im 3g or standard signal?
