Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini Launches Tomorrow

Samsung Galaxy SIII mini confirmed

A week after Samsung sent out invites for an event on October 11, Samsung mobile chief JK Shin confirmed that the company will indeed unveil a mini version of the popular Galaxy SIII tomorrow. The mini version will have a smaller screen, at 4 inches, but the technical specs are expected to be the same as the original version. The reason for releasing a smaller version is because of the high demand in European market.

“There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some may call it an entry-level device, but we call it ‘mini’,” Shin stated."

So this might be a UK only version? Any word if this will be offered to the US carriers? My wife would definitely be interested in this if Verizon was to get it.

The event will be in Germany, so probably not uk only but no idea about usa. The rumoured specs are not high end though - will know for sure tomorrow.

But wait, the GS3 has a big screen, the iPhone 5 doesn't. That's what Samsung has been drilling into everyone's head with their lame full page ads and commercials. So now a 4 inch screen is a good size. Another Apple WIN! When will Samsung ever learn. Always the follower, never the leader. Pwned again by Apple. Who's your huckleberry?

Oh, because Samsung makes only large screen High-end devices, isn't it? 4" devices were around before the iPhone 5. Who's the follower? Apple or Samsung? I guess IT IS Apple, since they used to say 3.5" is the perfect size, no, but wait... what was the size of the new iPhone 5? Oh, don't tell me...

The first Galaxy S has a 4" screen, besides this is a low end phone by the looks of it.

So it's not even trying to compete with the iPhone 5, that's just people jumping to conclusions.

I hate the name, the specs suck too. Why would Samsung associate with the SG3 ? It's confusing and ruins the SG3 name tbh since the specs are so bad in comparasion.

Did you even read the link?

Samsung will launch a four-inch 'mini' Galaxy SIII in Germany tomorrow, the company has confirmed, as the South Korean brand seeks to compete with Apple's new iPhone 5.

Ok, so maybe the writer is an idiot and that's simply HIS conclusion, but...

Samsung confirmed the Galaxy SIII Mini, not that's ment to compete directly with the iPhone 5.

Sure it has the same screen size but that's about it, I just hope nobody buys it expecting simalar performance and features to the Galaxy S III, because it looks like it's slower than the Galaxy S2.
