Help Trouble unrooting to receive OTA

First off, I'll post the software info.

LG Spectrum
Kernel 2.6.35.11-BlitzKrieg
Build - BrokenOut2.0
SW Version VS920ZV6

I used the all in one Spectrum tool to unroot and set stock recovery. Now I can download the OTA. However after hitting Apply Update and the phone powers off, it simply reboots with an error saying software update failed, with no specific reason as to why. Is there a way to locate the reason for this failure so that it can be addressed?

Its generally a terrible idea to unroot to take an ota. I'd suggest flashing a ROM with the updates baked in.

You don't need to unroot to take the ota. Root access isn't something that prohibits the rom from validating the old version... It's simply a home punched into the security to allow extra access. :)
