Root Stuck on LG logo

I'm on the ICS OTA, and I have froze quite a few apps and now my phone will not leave the LG boot screen. Any ideas

No luck. Looks like I'm replacing this phone.
You froze something you shouldn't have. Flashing the .cab does not fix this. You need to factory reset your phone. Power it off. Power it back on while holding power + vol down and wait for the factory reset message. Press power twice. It will boot back into ICS. This was the same thing someone else just did in this forum and it works. It's because until you factory reset, your programs are still frozen and the locked bootloader doesn't like that.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. I had the ICS rooted (after a couple failed attempts due to "bad coding" on the part of the .bat file that automated the process, which I had to manually fix), and it seemed to work fine, until I had to turn it on again. It got stuck on the LG screen ,and just wouldn't leave. I did the Factory Reset option, but the LG screen still stays, and doesn't leave. I'm at a loss as to what exactly happened. I'm almost positive that I didn't install CWM, even though I did install the CWM app before remembering to not install CM Recovery.

What should I do?

Factory reset and then use the .cab method to flash v7_15 again on to your phone. The combination of both will clear anything issues except a bad IMEI.

Ok, thanks... but how do I exactly flash the .cab? Is that like the "download rom from website, place in SD card, and hold vol- + power button to flash" method? Cause that's the only method of flashing anything pre-boot that I'm aware of, although the vol- + pwr method seems to be already assigned for factory reset...

Flashing LG signed Firmware - LG Spectrum - RootzWiki

This is the .cab method.

Also, vol - and power is factory reset. vol - and + plus plugging in USB cable is download mode.

i give you devs a hand... cause i remember when i was developing for a tablet, and there were 100 bricked devices, and i could fix them all, the only problem was i had to answer the same question 100 times...

anyways...

devs ----> keep up the good work

end users ----> please be patient with the devs, and you probly overlooked something - re-check, and if that not the case, then it probly doesnt exist...

Ah, ok. I was wondering whether vol+ + pwr had any function. I'll try that. Thanks. :)

And I concur, the devs here are doing a very good job. I can only imagine the hours of toil sifting through all the code. I only know really basic java and that already confuses me alot. You guys deserve to get paid for this tbh ;)
