If I worked for VZW and I knew a launch date for the Incredible, I would be happy to share it with you all. Then again I'm retired so I wouldn't be too worried about losing my job.

HAHA, wish I were in your shoes!

I wish there were a way to anonymously release info, but I'm not a lottery winner, so can't risk it

First of all, for my first post...You're all sick. Sick, sick people. And now, I guess I get to add myself to the list!

On Day 30 of my Droid ownership (yesterday), I returned the phone. I had a super-shitty Samsung phone I got off Ebay earlier in the week which I'm now using. It's so bad that when I type text messages, the phone lags. It LAGS!

But, you know what? Once I get the Incredible later this month, it will all have been worth it. Can't wait! :)

Here's the deal guys. If someone can Photoshop something THIS good, then something as simple as a chart would be CAKE!!! In this day and age ANYTHING can be done in Photoshop. Take my word for it. Take EVERY picture with a grain of salt.

Note: I am NOT saying that the picture IS photoshopped. I'm just saying that it easily COULD have been.

Damn you photoshop

There IS a way to anonymously release information. If someone wanted to release some info, all they would have to do is send a reputable member of this forum a private message and let THAT person leak the info for them. It's as simple as that. Also, if there was a picture involved that needed cleaning up or needed some certain things blurred out for confidentiality reasons, someone who was a pro at Photoshop could EASILY take care of that for them. It's as easy at that. ;)

You would make a terrible CEO with that thinking.

It's not all about the money to me, if it was, I would be just as corrupt as the banks on wall street and which most CEO's are. More and more people are moving from iPhone to Android devices. An iPhone is an iPhone. You can get many different Android devices. :P

Android(Open Source) > Apple.

Photoshopped.....look how low in the box the red text is compared to the other dates. Why must people keep doing this?

Also, I don't know this stuff, but what is "Infomanger". Should this be "infomanager"?

EDIT: NEVER MIND, I SAW REFERENCE TO THIS TYPO IN A PREVIOUS THREAD. i MUST HAVE MISSED AND ONLY READ THE FIRST 23000 POSTS

Great idea. I can be that person, send me the release info.

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned this before but I just got a mailer from Verizon about upgrading to a Droid and it says the BOGO ends 4/15 which could be a good sign for us...

What a tough crowd to please. Claim something without pics? FAKE (Montana's box story). Post a pic of some possible info? FAKE (Calender pic). I'd hate to be that person who'd genuinely want to help the people on this thread, and I know for a fact that when this thread began, this was definitely not the case. Sure theres a possibility of things being fake.. but at this point, isn't most (read: all) of what we have speculation anyways.

Just a few thoughts:

As alluded to earlier, it is possible that TODAY is the day that Verizon has been waiting on to come and go - the last thing I would want to do is release a highly anticipated phone and then a week or two later have all the buzz killed by the most highly anticipated hardware release in a year or two. And guaranteed that waaaaaay more people know about the iPad than the Incredible.

Someone mentioned earlier about Apple suing HTC for Android, but if you read the detailed lawsuit summary, you'll see that Apple is also suing HTC for a handful of WinMo phones, so this is as much or more about Sense UI than Android in some ways.

1300mAh for the battery won't be great - I just saw an article about a company that has a replacement battery for the N1 with twice the capacity of the standard battery - I think it was selling for $69ish, and has the same finish on the larger back cover like the N1's.

Also:

@Matchbox - the "surprise" with the N1 is that you'll be so excited when you open your box, that you'll have a 'happy ending'....

@jonnyjonjon - "the EVO LOOKS huge, but will probably feel just fine in the pocket."
It's not as big as what's in my pocket right NOW....

@NOLA_Droid - I needed the laugh from the Henny jokes, especially the last one.

(I figured I'd take care of a few thoughts with just one post)

This photoshop witchhunt has got to stop. If even one person out there is hesitant to post what they believe is credible information for fear of being accused of being a liar or dealing with the "pics or it didn't happen" line, we all lose. Point is if someone's post is true or not, it won't make this phone come out any quicker! So if it makes someone feel better to spend hours trying to disprove someone's picture so they can get more "thanks" by their name, that's pretty sad. I'll stay in the camp that gets excited about anything that may or may not be real but is something I didn't know two days ago, including CSR stories, pics, etc.

I wasn't trying to be harsh, just informative. Definitely no sorry needed. It seems that input functionality (keyboard, voice, etc.) is handled differently in Sense UI. Hopefully the voice input will be enabled through an update.

According to XDA devs and the official HTC Desire manual, Voice to Text is supported, but may not have made it to the final ROM due to time constraints.

OTA update soon should rectify this.

That leaves me very hopeful that HTC Incredible can/will support it.

Found voice to text in the user manual ! - xda-developers

Kcoan- can you clarify the Infomanger/manager debate

This former rep can. Its infomanager. Its the program we go to to find out anything re: policies, how-to instructions for different complex computer operations, merchandising, porting, devices and equipment, etc. If you ask your boss how to do something, they will say, "idk, have you checked infomanager?"

In my 4 years at Alltel & VZW I never saw a merchandising calendar. I have a few people looking for me. I'm not saying it does/or doesnt exist. Trying to get more info.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this was posted, if it was I apologize, but it's the first time i've ever seen a reference to the Incredible on an 'official' Verizon site.

https://infodoc.verizonwireless.com/Infomanager/Areas/Equipment/159207.htm

I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've seen something on the verizonwireless.com that actually says HTC Incredible, great find.

I know people are gonna be like this doesn't give us a release date, but in my book any info is good info.

Yeah i agree..i think verizon might try to avoid launching too close to the ipad...so if we don't hear anything in the next few days i fear they are gona wait awhile after the ipad launch.

So do you all think Verizon will celebrate its ten-year anniversary with tv commercials and phone releases this week? I can see both sides. Throw a party and tout its success vs. 10 years isn't super old - does that imply weakness? Would you want to draw attention to it??
