GORILLA GADGETS 4500 mAh Extended Battery

Just finished my 3rd conditioning cycle of this battery & I'm pleased to report that I got 18 hrs of use on this cycle(9hrs. on stand-by @ night & 9hrs. during a normal workday).

Again,nothing scientific,just normal,unrestricted everyday use,everything on & syncing all GOOGLE items,4 e-mail accounts & a TWITTER account,w/varying amounts of streaming music w/BLUETOOTH on all day.

I'd say expect between 14-18 hrs of moderate to moderate/heavy use per full charge.Definitely a keeper.

As an added bonus, this extended battery cover (& available TPU EXTENDED BATTERY/PHONE CASE) should fit any other extended battery available & each is sold separately on GORILLA GADGETS website.

I'm at 16hrs and still have 57% left... On the STOCK battery. Even on a fairly heavy day, I still get 10-12hrs at the worst. No need for a gigantic battery I'd say.

Obviously you don't need an extended battery.Unfortunately, for whatever reason, not everyone is as blessed as yourself.
Hence, the extended battery market exists.

Just saying that if I can come close to that with the stock battery with the same usage, I think there might be something wrong with your phone. That, or that battery is overhyped

I also have no need for this. This is on the stock battery:

THX. I don't think there's anything wrong w/my phone. My typical day of work,w/commute,etc..... is 14+ hrs, & during that time I'm in a weak 3G & WI-FI coverage area. This is my biggest drain on the battery. Same thing w/my previous phone w/SPRINT (PHOTON).

Turning off features to conserve battery life is not an option, otherwise, I wouldn't bother having a smartphone to begin with.
Also, for comparison sake, my situation is not unique, as all my co-workers experience the same issues w/battery life on various models of phones,ANDROID,iPhone,&WINDOWS phones.

Even if I were getting the battery life that some are experiencing (10 hrs +), I'd still opt for an extended battery.I just don't like the feel of the phone w/o it (too light) & the overall fit & feel of the phone w/the extended battery & TPU extended battery case is better for me.

Also,w/the GORILLA GADGETS 4500 battery currently on sale for $19.99,w/the additional battery life that I'm experiencing over the OEM 2100 mAh battery, the overall improvement is anything but hype.

Looks like you have no need for a smartphone either.

No this was a very mild day. I spent 8 hours at work where I barely even touch my phone. When I go to school, I get my battery down to 20% in about 8 hours because I'm using the phone for most of that time. Browsing the web, browsing reddit, and listening to music while I'm sitting in class.

This was a fairly light weekend with the stock battery. A phone call and updating apps, and games.

Enough said right there...lol. That is a common battery drain most ppl dont factor in.

I been using the phone the entire day and i still get about 10 hours. On a normal day i get about 12-15 hours with no problems. I have to agree with you. No need for those huge batteries as long as you keep the screen brightness down.

There's many more factors that determine battery life than screen brightness.Hence, the option for extended batteries exists for those that actually use their phones w/o making compromises.I didn't get a smartphone to squint @ the display to see what is indeed "smart" about it.;)

Hi,
I totally agree. When I first got my S3 I was into reading all the forums about how to save battery life. Sure, they worked, but half the stuff on my phone was shut off or working at 50% . I got the phone to use it!! With the extended battery I have everything I use on all day!! I get around 3 days out of my hyperion 4200. I'm not a heavy user, but I do use it all day, everything on!!

Yes there are....one is:

:p

My Droid X1 could last 29 hours at my ex gf's apt. with some use. I would call it moderate. (did a battery test one time) At work? 8 hours or less.....with lil to no use. Stock battery. Thats screen off all day or most of the day. Difference? Good vs bad reception area.

Since we all dont live n work in the same areas, dont use our phones the same....I dont think we can say one size fits all for battery life, use, wants n needs. Reception area......effects battery life. Again.....reception area....effects battery life. if you see more than 2 bars on average....you are in what i call a good reception area. if you see 4 bars on average, great reception area.

For the decibel readers....if you see between -50's to -60's on average...great reception area. -70's to -80's.... good reception area. Anything -90's and higher....bad reception area. Thats all IMO of course. But for the extreme ranges....-50 is great and -120 is no service. All things being equal.

People that post 18 hours of use or 1 day and x hours and then you see that onscreen time is negligible and cell standby is the highest use percentage. This is not using your phone and telling people you get xx hours is complete crap.

Only time that matters is actual onscreen time and with a stock battery, with brightness set to 100% you will get between 3 and 4 hours of "actual" use, not the phone sitting on a desk in standby mode.

So, buying a battery twice the size will yield "real" phone use that will last an entire day of work, assuming you use your phone non-stop, all day long.

In the absence of any other input from those who are still awaiting shipment, etc.....

I can re-iterate my overall satisfaction w/this battery. Expect about 10 hrs of extremely heavy use, 12-14 hrs. w/moderate use & 16+ hrs. w/light use.

This battery is definitely one of the best bargains around & can probably be purchased @ less than MSRP w/various holiday sales & e-coupon codes avaliable. I myself paid only $19.95, hopefully anyone else can manage to match or improve upon this.

This battery is currently on sale (over 50% off) for those that have been waiting for a price drop.

A TPU case is also available, very convenient one-stop shopping for your extended battery & accessories. http://www.gorillagadgets.com
