Root Tethering on JellyBean?

So most tethering apps fail on the JellyBean leak. Figured I'd post here since most rooted/modded threads go here.

I tried my usual usb tether, and got a subscription check, then a fail. So what's working specifically for the HD as far as tethered or wifi applications?

I don't believe there is a working method for JB yet. I've tried FoxFi along with the add on and a slew of other apps. Even tried adjusting the entitlement check values and that's a no go as well. Sorely missed feature. I've been scouring what I could for this.

FoxFi did work on the RHD right about it's release though, I think the developer updated it. So maybe it'll start working about when JB officially rolls out. Which won't be too far off considering the M just got it.

Tried the hack.

Before, got the subscription check box, then a vzw phone number.

After the hack, no popup subscription box.

Used a usb tether app like I usually do, and it WORKS!!!!!!!!

Note that vzw can probably sniff the traffic and identify that it's not your phone and charge you a couple of thousand bucks :)

Wait USB tethering works?

Please let me know which app it is when you get a chance. I'm seriously interested in it.

I haven't been able to get a wifi tether to work yet, although the dev of the ROM I'm on said he's working on it. So it might not be an issue with JB like I previously assumed.

Thanks for that app though, that's going to be very useful!

good to know, I'll probably play with it on Thanksgiving, I'm sure there's going to be a bunch of wifi devices in a house without dedicated internet/wifi :D:D

edit: posting through usb tethering on jb leak through my laptop.... oh yeah!
