***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

since i picked up my iPad...my interest for the Incredible is fading... :(

Going back and using my Droid after using the iPad is like going back 5 years in technology...Android seems pretty dated.

The only thing keeping me going is Sense.... and a smoother style than the Droid.

It's hard to have any respect for you know that you picked up a fruit gadget.

The IPAD is not a smartphone (obviously you already know this). It cannot fit in your pocket or on a holster. The Inc is going to be a great PHONE but I wouldn't expect it to be easier to type on or use than something much larger...different categories.:rolleyes:

Even less when you realise its just a big phone and that it will be obsolete by the newer tablets coming out that can actually multi-task like Adam and Courier.
 
OK I have a question for the Android experts out there.

I currently run a credit card application from INTUIT on my BBerry. I have checked and they have certified the application to run on the droid with os 1.5 and 2.0. To date they have not certified an HTC phone. Should I have any confidence it will run on the INC? Processing of credit cards is an important part of my business. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
 
I don't think the "Incredible" is our phone...

Went to the Verizon store tonight... I've been in there, and a few others too. Always the same thing. Nothing ever to report. Tonight was a tad different. I actually got a guy that somewhat knew what he was talking about. My plan: go in and play dumb. It kinda worked.

So I tell him I'm up for my NE2, and thinking about going android. Immediately he shows me the Moto Droid and Devour. Really talking up the Devour :confused: ...So I ask, anything new coming out soon? Then I get the basic response: "We've got a lot of cool phones coming up soon, and a couple from HTC. The Incredible."
Ohhhhh really? So when is that available?

"Summer... I don't know when all they have said is Summer 2010."

I ask about the N1, and he has no clue whatsoever. So we start talking about other stuff, corp discounts. As we get to his computer and starts looking up stuff, I say "So I read on some website the Incredible will be out in 2 weeks."

Immediately he says no. Then he says "There is a new HTC phone coming this month with an 8mp camera. My district manager was telling me it was really cool. But it's not the Incredible."

So when is that coming out? "This month."

So, FWIW...
Perhaps us going into the Verizon stores asking about the Incredible... really means they know nothing, and that's a name of an upcoming summer phone, and our "Incredible" is named something completely different.

i don't care what its called as long it has the snapdragon along with all the other specs of "our incredible" they can name it the pile of crap

Sounds like he WAS talking about the Incredible but either mixed up the name or it will be called something else.
