Exactly. Verizon doesn't care either way. Google took too long with the CDMA N1. That's their problem.

lol, Google took too long? Damn thing has been cleared through the FCC for a long time now. Sprint is going to get it before Verizon at this rate.

The Incredible won't exactly be flawed but it wont be praised either.

The longer they push the release date, the more VZW kills themselves.

The Incredible when released won't be viewed as "OMG AMAZING" considering phones like the Desire are out and EVO/Shadow are on their way. It's gonna be more of a like, the Incredible fixed some things wrong in the Desire and Nexus One with the better camera etc...i guess you can say just like the 3GS was to the 3G the Incredible is going to be more of an evolution than a revolution. Just fixing some flaws and cons in the Desire.

Exactly. If the Incredible is just one of 7 or 8 Snapdragon phones when it comes out, how incredible is it actually going to appear?

Well guys, things got sour on the financial end and I won't be well-off enough to upgrade my phone for a few months. Looks like I'm officially dropping out of the Incredible Waiting Game. It was fun, and thanks to all those who made it so.

Here's to Verizon getting their shit together and releasing a decent phone by August.
The way things are going that will be about the same time that the Incredible is actually released... Sorry to hear about the tough times

I hit 154 GB this month!
I can see hitting really big numbers just with the phone, unless they limit the maximum file size. Why would you have Internet at home if your phone could download everything you wanted onto the 8,16, or 32 GIG card. On a trip and you wanted to d/l something why not let your phone d/l it while your driving.... then transfer it from your sd card to your computer. And what if your watching streaming video all the time..... the number will only get higher when LTE is in place...... just my opinion

hmmmm
just tried to check the info manager site and seems they have changed it

Also if anyone follows the testman site- I am not getting any graphics on the login page.
( just fyi - dont think it means anything as we have already discussed)

Thanks for posting that - I thought I was the only one and maybe they had blocked me or something.

Nightshift here.

Looking at the phonearena page has me a little worried. If they list other devices for release of this month then why not others?

Let's hope that vzw just wanted to surprise us. But if this phone is so incredible why would they keep it in the dark just to release it suddenly.

Holding down the fort at 330am!

I was looking around in the testman site with Firebug(a web development tool), and noticed a server request that passes back the following:

Most of the urls are common ones. However, some of the address start with stage-. Could they be staging sites for testing web pages? One in particular is : https://stage-support.vzw.com/ . That one requires authentication. The links most likely lead to nothing of importance but who knows?

Anyone think VZW might not want to announce anything until after Apple talks about their new OS? You know, like hit key points during the announcement about why this phone is still better than apple. Because if they said something today, then Apple could do the same to the incredible/VZW on the 8th.

I may be wrong here but I was under the impression that it is unlimited data on your phone and that the 5G limit only applies to tethering. Though that is why it is called the unlimited data plan:confused:

I have an unlimited data plan (something as far as I know they don't offer anymore or maybe they stopped for a while and now do I don't know)

I got it when I bought my Omnia. At the time they told me I couldn't Tether (Actually now that I'm thinking about it, that maight of been with my Samnsung i790 but whatever) Baically when I got a phone I got a dataplan and an unlimited data plan but couldn't get thethering (which sucked) Then when I did get my omnia I could get thering for $15 a mont (yea ouch) $15 so I could use my $40 unlimited data plan I already had. So anyways when I did get the tethering they told me it had a 5G limit I was like WHAT? How can I have an unlimited dataplan and only a 5G tethering limit but apparently from what I can see on my build they actually know.

So from what I understand there is a limit on the dataplan now and a limit on the tethering and I really wish they would not charge for tethering.

Don't know if this means anything, BUT If you go to the testman site, that area on the homepage where verizon typically has 5 tabs that u can click through for it's featured items is BLANK. new stuff soon maybe???

possibly one of Verizon's mini notebooks- price would be about right I think

i think the msrp of these phones are pretty high... isn't/wasn't the Eris $469 without a contract? i've seen phones with msrps higher than $700...

the MSRP might be the no-contract pricing.

sorry if this has already been mentioned.
