LOL, wow. I had to say it 20 times, but I think people still feel that we are part of the testing phase, and we have to get it before it is announced lol. I do hope we get it though.

SOOOOOOOO, Typically as soon as it is announced you get it and it is immediately available or is there a time frame in between?

Edit: NVM- I reread Marks post on the other thread and answered my own question

Well, kids, I hit the local Sprint store today to give their service (and 30-days free offer) a try. So far, so good. I'm using the Hero as my mule. The real test will be when I drive about 30 miles north to get home and see what it's like there, as it's much more rural. I had to give it a shot; their rates are just too good for smartphone users. If all goes well, I'm giving up on the Incredible and taking about 4 other people with me to Sprint when I p/u the EVO in a few months. I'll report back...

I don't know about you but I could really go for a new leaked picture or video of the Incredible... Anyone know a person who is getting the phone next week or earlier and have them take a picture of it? I just want to see it in the flesh and blood again not another render. Is that asking too much?

Here is the picture.

It varies. We usually get it a few days after it is announced, sometimes up to a week. Sometimes we get it the day it comes out to the public, other times, it can be up to 2 weeks in advance, but again, the thing is that we usually don't get anything until it is announced to the public.

LMAO! Ok, let me say this...I AM A MEMBER OF THE VZW CUSTOMER COUNCIL. Usually the phone is announced.....then we get the phones to provide feedback. Again, we are NOT a part of the testing process. And remember, I was the one who told you that that info was not true, and he has changed it.

Here's one of my VCC members talking about this...

Yes, we got that. You are a member of THE COUNCIL and you do not test. Whatever.

What would be helpful is if you would explain just what the council does. Instead of coming here and saying, "LMFAO, you tools are so dumb to believe that guy. ROFLOL. We don't test you fools. I am sooooo cool. You guys just don't get it. I am a MEMBER! I told him. Remember I made him change his info."

Great you are a super-neato guy. But explaining what the council actually does(beyond feedback), because I would think they could get plenty of feedback after the phone is released? That would get you more appreciation here than being a self promoting narcissist.

You know I have yet to find ANYONE at Verizon that actually care whether or not I stay as a customer or not. I wish someone would knock them down a few pegs!

Did you have to sign an NDA when you originally signed up? Do you have to sign some kind of NDA when you get a new phone?

so i called verizon customer service today to ask some questions and what not. i'm technically not eligible for an upgrade until august but he was ready to let me upgrade right then and there if i wanted to get a droid but it would have taken 2 days by mail to get to me. as impatient as i am i just went down to the local verizon and explained to them that i wanted to get the droid like the guy on the phone was going to let me. she said i'm not eligible blah blah. so i kind of made a big deal about it then she went and got the manager and he approved me for an early upgrade, which was cool. so i was ready to walk out of there with a droid and return it if/when the incredible gets here this month. she came out from the back and said they were out of droids, so i am taking this as a sign from the htc gods that i was meant to wait a few more days because an announcement may be imminent. either that or some guy before me bought the last one and i'm reading into this way too much. but for those of you who are not eligible for an upgradetry the 1800 number and see if you can get an early upgrade there, if not keep in mind the stor manager has the power to give you an early upgrade.

I haven't promoted myself at all, I was just trying to prevent you guys from getting more misinformation. I was laughing because of what started this information. I was also laughing because people thought that we were more than what we actually are. And lastly, I was laughing because I had been trying to provide the correct info, and people wouldn't listen, and kept running with it. I don't need to promote myself, I've never even mentioned before that I'm a VCC member, until the misinformation had been posted. But, since you are asking about what we do, I'll explain it. We provide feedback about policies, promotions, software, and devices from Verizon Wireless. The key part, is that VZW directly asks us for the feedback, and they may also ask us about certain devices, certain policies, promotions, etc. It is a forum of members who interact with each other and VZW, in a small private community, such as this very one.

I've been eligible for an upgrade since November.....

That has always been my experience with Verizon. They have grown too large to care about the individual. I'm not suggesting they bow to people's demands or anything of the sort, but the overall impression is that they simply don't care. The funny part is, when I left them for Alltel, about 2 weeks later I got a mailer saying "We miss you come back, here is a coupon for stuff". A little too late, but never the less, I was just delaying the inevitable and was forced back into the Verizon fold. I'm happy with the quality of service (not customer service that's ranked at like a 2 out of 10).
