Have you checked the email sync settings? Open the email app, go to settings, select your account & scroll down to the "sync schedule" and make sure it is still set to "push" during the hours that you want to have it sync immediately. I have mine set to sync via push 7am-6pm, then every hour after that.

It's possible that during the upgrade these settings returned to whatever the default sync frequency is.

Hope that helps! :)

Sorry, just saw your PM!

Your settings look correct and your email should be syncing every 5 minutes during peak time automatically.

The only other thing I can think to check is to go to System Settings (I'm on Jelly Bean 4.1), Data Usage & scroll down until you see the email app in the list, press it & scroll down to the bottom where it says"restrict background data" and make sure this option is NOT checked.

Are you using the email app to connect to a Microsoft Exchange account? If so, there may also be an issue on the server end of the connection that is preventing automatic syncing.

That's unfortunately about the limit of my expertise in the matter... :(

"restrict background data" option is NOT checked

Are you using the email app to connect to a Microsoft Exchange account? NO

what is next ? pls

My final suggestion would be to go to Settings/Application Manager, go to the "all" tab, find the email app, open and clear data & cache, then reboot. You'll need to set up your email over again, so make sure you have all your settings written down somewhere. My phone would only let me clear my cache for the email app, but I think that is because I use an Exchange account and there is a separate "Exchange Services" app, but I'm guessing yours will allow it.

This is my last suggestion- there is always the "nuclear" option of performing a factory reset which almost always clears up strange behaviors after an OS update, but that will essentially wipe your phone completely, so you would need to have your photos and any other data you want to save backed up.

Hope that helps! :)
