.:Official Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thread:.

I borrowed the game from my son, and I honestly wasn't impressed much with it. :(
I remember thinking the same thing about Oblivion, and Skyrim did start off slow.

I can't explain it, but somewhere in the game I got sucked in and couldn't put it down...

Personally all the games i play that involve combat i love the kind of sword and shield combat stuff, so i get sucked right in as soon as i get a sword and shield, i become instantly addicted and love enchanting all my stuff and even merchanting with everyone, my greatest love is probably all of the side quests, just an endless amount of fun :D

Agreed!

This thread needs to stop dying....anyhow last night i decided to drop Minecraft and pick up Skyrim once again, currently i have a level 30 Nord, Sword & Shield, pretty much a tank :)

I decided to go mod crazy a couple days ago and installed a bunch of lighting mods and such that actually make me utilize torches at night and in dungeons, because i found torches entirely useless in the game before then because the game was too bright in general, it was one of the major flaws that made me dislike vanilla Skyrim

I'd love to learn how to mod but could never figure it out. I download the mods but never figure out how to put them on my games :(

I'm on my 3rd time playing Skyrim. My PS3 died during my first game, had to wipe it and start over, died again and had to send it in. I'm playing the same kind of character, but I haven't touched the main quest yet. I guess the game is all what you make it and the kind of story you build yourself. My character is a heavy drinker this play through because by this point she's seen all this craziness play out 3 times. My house is full of mead and ale and no furniture. Lydia keeps my secret. lol

The Companions are my favorite faction, felt so bad about the whole Kodlack thing. Dark Brotherhood is fun too, but I liked it better in Oblivion. Thieves guild is pretty awesome as well, I like the Nightingales aspect and that armor is BA.

Haha yeah, Im just the opposite, I done the main quest and started the side. Not the spoil anything for you but at the end you get a pretty AWESOME should which allows you to have some help in whatever you want (not saying exactly what /who it is I don't want to ruin things for you! )

I never finished the main quest, but on my first playthrough (before PS3 death #1) I got like 80% through it. I really plan on finishing, I just got so caught up in side quests this time! I'm also playing on a harder difficulty, so I'm trying to level up more before getting into any serious battles.

I have recently downloaded the house DLC and started getting my house in order, over Southeast of Solitude.

Anyhow, to install mods look into Nexus Mod Manager, it is a program that runs alongside of skyrim and you can download mods directly from it from the website and load them to your game.

Make sure your video card can handle some of the graphical enhancements though :)

I have Xbox :(

No, I'm afraid on the PC. I'm not aware of any mods on the xbox and I don't know if the xbox could handle some of them.

Ohhh... Sorry to hear that man. :(
As far as I kno there's no mods for the Xbox SKyrim, but I don't think there are though. :)

Its cool! Guess what though!! Someone offered me a laptop for 40 bucks. That's running windows 7 home premium. And the only thing wrong is the b key is missing. Looks like I'm in luck (:

I didn't wanna start a new thread. But is there a way I could copy steam games from another friends PC onto an external memory source. Then place them onto my computer and actually play them?so I wouldn't have to pay for them myself.
