i just hope when this phone launches there isnt any really BIG issues....that would suck if the phone came out and was very very buggy and poor build quality, screen issues ext...lol
no need... my guess is that the news will be coming out fast and furious from now on.
In these cases, usually the retailer pays extra in order to have early exclusivity to selling the device in hopes to make more by selling accessories. Kind of like when Best Buy sells new release DVDs/Blu-Rays; on average Best Buy takes a $2-$5 dollar loss on the sale of a new DVD that week just to bring customers in to buy other stuff.I find it interesting that places like Best Buy can get a phone in house days if not weeks before the actual carrier (Verizon in this case) can get the phone in their own stores. Doesn't make a lot of sense. That being said, I think I will have to wait and get it from a Verizon store because my wife gets a discount from her employer and we will have to rework our calling plans once this thing drops. Unless of course, I can get the phone from whoever has it first, then worry about changing the calling plans and getting the discount stuff squared away later...sounds good...buy Incredible first, ask questions later!
I hope this doesn't get counted as off topic.
I really, really want this HTC incredible.
I just bought a droid 3 days ago in the Verizon store before I knew that much about either phone. Since i've had the droid, it's dropped so many calls due to the proximity sensor that I've lost count. It's heavy. It's bulky.
I was told I had 30 days to decide if I wanted it. I'm wondering if I take it back that I can still do an upgrade to the Incredible when it's out ?
God I sure hope so...this droid is giving me such heartache dropping and muting my calls unexpectedly. I so wish I would have seen this thread 3 days ago!
FYI - For those coming from a Blackberry.

I've never bought a phone online, do you pay for it right away or does it get tacked onto your monthly bill?
