Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [KERNEL][Linaro][OC/UV]KT747 Kernel 2.1GHz

Yeah. That was my only issue. But taking a little while to wake up is something I have in common with this thing so I can't fault it for that. Great kernel. I was able to set voltages the same as chiwen and it is running steady Freddy.

its teh downside of having such low frequencies when the screen is off :) sometimes it takes a good bit to power the screen on :)

Moar Powah! ;) guys, you can try playing with the screen off profile in the ktweaker app. It should help :)

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I truly appreciate it, and it motivates me to keep working towards making the experience even better. Its all for you guys. I'm positive shabby feels the same.

Gets guys everytime I Change the frequencys den I aply the phone reboot den wen it comes back up I check the frequency again and their not sticking any help?

Since installing the kernel I've noticed things are smoother and I faster but my screen doesn't always appear on wake, sometimes I need to wake a couple times actually. Any idea what causes this?

Edit:just read up on kernel stuffs...doing good now lol

Yes sir. This kernel with the full custom baked rom is the shizznizzz

Are you using the ktweaker app? Go into the app, set it up the way you want it. Check lock frequencies and tap set options at boot and choose a boot option from the list. That will automatically set your frequencies and settings when you reboot.

Also, since someone just asked me how I'm using Wheatley governor because they don't see it :

When you go to change the governor there is more than what you initially see. The list of governors is scrollable. There's a total of 22 governors to choose from.

I use a combination of wheatley / sio.

oh ok oh and im sorry i meant to say the voltages are NOT sticking not frequencies so i change the voltages to look like the ones you posed but they dont stay like that im on blackbean btw..

Hey ChiweN awesome kernel... I just had a quick question any other settings that your using? I have the your voltages set up and it's good just curious if you have anything else set up...

By the way like i said before I've been part of a bunch of communities before and by far this is the best one... We only have a couple of you guys as devs but man you guys are great... It's nice to see how everyone is so helpful here... And also think it's great how much has been done in about a month and a half... Great work

How you get voltage setting to stick custom I set it how he had it. After reboot they don't stick. I have set lock frequency , frequency locks but not the voltages

You have to use the ktweaker app. You have to make it set the options on boot or they will return to default when you reboot the phone.

I can't explain it any simpler than that.

Try adjusting the the voltage in the ktweaker app and click apply then go to the rom control setting and click on the voltage tab and click apply then set on boot.

I did it exactly as ChiweN said, rebooted several times and BOOM!....All is good. :D

:) thanks bud. I think we have a great community here. Definitely one of the better ones I've been a part of.

As far as my setup I'm using the voltages in post 3, Wheatley governor, io is set to sio, running at 1.6 ghz, set option immediately on boot.

Battery life with moderate usage, including tapatalk, mms, several phone calls, waze, github app, Google Chrome and an hour or Netflix (walking dead ) :

Not bad :D

I wouldn't recommend using rom control at all, they may conflict and cause some issues, because rom control won't only be trying to set voltage at boot but it'll also be trying to set cpu at boot independently of ktweaker. He's just not setting it to set options at boot. :)

The ktweaker isn't just another cpu control application, it's made specifically for this kernel.

Not bad at all... And yes I've seen it get nasty at times... Which is mind boggling for a free service... That is very time consuming.. And not very rewarding at times... But not here and hope it stays that way...

But anyway I'm pretty much on the same setup other than the io set up... Set up immediately on boot also one thing I keep getting is min and max saved options not set... Is their a way to disable the performance set up on aokp so that ktweaker is the only one controlling the cpu... I'm almost certain it's messing up my settings.. Also do you have anything set up on the touch booster

My buddy always tells me about that show.. But with a 14 month old nothing other than his animal sounds fly on the tv phone laptop ect... Lol

I for everything set up still don't stick but one thing is wen I change the voltage den hit aply my phone boots is that normal?

Ah.. I no. That means the voltage setting I use on my s3 are too low for yours. Add 15 to each voltage level I use. If it still reboots add another 5 or 10. Not all of our s3's can handle using voltages that low.

I feel ya. I have a 2 year old son myself so I have to wait until he goes to sleep to watch anything on the tv or watch my stuff on the phone or tablet lol. Yo gabba gabba is the devil.

Make sure set on boot isn't enabled in the performance menu on aokp. Also, go into supersu and remove rom control from having root access. Don't block it, just remove it. After you've done that make sure lock frequencies in the tweaker app is checked, and reboot. Next time you do something in rom control, like play with the notification bar or anything it'll ask for root again and you can grant it.

If the settings still don't stick let me know.

Everything is sticking fine and going smooth as hell on my end, and yo gabba gabba is just evil Hey Jessie is the devil. lmao

Oh I see ill play with it thanks

Yea I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.. I did a fresh install and I get a huge drain on battery... Android OS like 70%... And I just bought better battery stats I'm gonna let it run for a bit and see what I get... By the way I'm on Aokp 12/3 @ 1296 with Wheatley governor io is sio With UV -100... I'm stumped the lol...

Hey ChiweN, how come if a governor isn't selected, it won't show up in the cpufreq folder? I'm trying to run ondemand for screen on with init.d tweaks and conservative for screen off with init.d tweaks. I can't run the conservative one because the script can't find the files to edit. Any ideas?

Oh I see ill play with it thanks

I set my voltage to ChiweN's suggestion and didn't have any issues until I ran Facebook and I got the reboot. Up'd everything up 15 and everything is running smooth, getting pretty good battery life for what I use the phone for.
