I got this message maybe it is for you also?
Free VZW Msg: Any Alltel phone on your account can get a new VZW phone & keep current voice plan! 2yr renwl required. Call 877-665-7503! 2 stop msgs, reply X
Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel
Yeah, I don't know though because I got the moto droid so I doubt they'll honor that even though I paid full price.

Awesome that the manual is available. The flood of information is in full force. Now waiting for more details (8GB?), pictures, videos, reviews. Woohoo!

A couple of notes,
I wonder what the deal is with tethering? If you use this tethering do you have to sign up for some tethering plan with Verizon? If you don't use the built in tethering can you tether without an extra plan?
They say that tethering needs the HTC sync program, but that program is only available for Windows  Companies should realize that many consumers have Macs.

Its awesome that the manual is published and has so many details. But it seems a little overwhelming and a potentially bad sign that such a huge manual is even needed. The whole advantage of the iPhone is ease of use. I don't think it even comes with a manual. But the incredible needs 204 pages to figure out how to use it? Lets see, 0 pages or 204 pages before I can figure out how to use my smartphone. Which is better?

Without any further adieu...

Phandroid FTW:D...Gizmodo, Boy Genius Report, Engadget, etc... eat your heart out.

Anyone feeling thankful to this forum, thread, owner, admin's, mod's, tipsters, staff, regulars???

We had all better be glad iSteve and his cronies in Crapple's legal department aren't running things over at HTC. They'd be getting ready to sue the pants off of Phandroid right now. Just kiddin'. But seriously, we did get written permission to post this, right?

EDIT: Note the clipping below.

Android isn't Apple's Iphone OS, nor does it want to be. Its much more powerful, you can do much more with it. Take the time to learn it, and you'll see ;). That said, its much more intuitive than you think, especially with SenseUI running on top of it.

This is the first time I've ever been as excited about a phone as I have ever been, saw the iphone and few others but never had my face shown so much joy for information this insignificant to others but as treasured as it can be to me now, GREAT JOB everyone has contributed to this forum and I'm glad I stuck around suffering through some disappointments CTIA and possible "launch date announcements", these few pages will probably make me an expert in theory to what this phone will do. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

ohhh so they already got you on the verizon network... yea that may not work I still have the bb curves from the altel network and I think they are doing what ever they can to get me on their frequency

Damn, the user guide made me register. I didn't even know I wanted this phone so bad and with so much passion as I do until I started reading this forum.

My name is Rob and I'm an addict...
Ashamed to say that I have been reading (lurking) here for weeks and I had to register to only to find out that that manual is damaged and can not be opened. Maybe this is all just a ply to get cell terrorist to come out of hiding . . .BUSTED . . .on my way to Guantanamo Bay . . .HELP!!!

I have the ability to use NE2 but I don't because none of the Verizon plans compare to my Alltel plan, I just keep paying full price for my new devices, and I'm fine with that. I'll cost about $559-$599 more than likely without contract.

You do know you can keep your Alltel plan and still get your NE2.

It's been a long time since I've heard this mentioned, but wasn't this phone rumored of being able to support .avi files natively? I dont' see it listed under supported video formats. Anonimac or NKT care to comment if you know anything about native .avi support?

I dont know if anyone posted this ,but my wife called vzw yesterday and asked when the incredible or n1 be released and they said incredible will only be released at bestbuy on the 29th

Does anyone know if this phone supports visual voicemail? I checked the specs page and user guide and didn't find any reference to it.
