they don't tell us anything because they DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!
verizon tells them nothing until they get a box with a launch kit. If that store hasn't received a launch kit, they really don't know anything. these are essentially dumb sales outlets.. not an integral part of the verizon wireless corporate machine. they really don't know! the only ones that know are reading this right now!
 
Does anyone know whether or not you'll be able to turn off sense on the incredible? Personally, I like the Nexus One's software look better.
 
Anybody care to comment on any advantages to going with the Incredible over the HTC EVO?

As I mentioned, I could only think of an earlier launch date and perhaps better cell service/coverage with Verizon vs Sprint.

Looking over the specs it still seems like the EVO has everything the Incredible does, plus quite a bit more.

"DVD quality" is like 640x480 resolution. I don't think there's any doubt the Incredible will do that.
 
I think there are way to many people worring about the camera.
It would be nice to have a picture not look like, your looking at it thru a dirty screen window.
But lets get real, regardless of what mega pixel or resolution, it's a phone, you are never going to get hired to film for national geographic with a cell phone.
Yes it would be nice, but its not going to happen.

720x480, but yes, I agree, there's really no doubt, but that's one of the bolded topics on the DROID page on VZW's website. They haven't mentioned anything about it, so why wouldn't they at least tout it in the equipment guide or something? I serisouly think that we're going to get 720p out of the box, or at least capable with software update. There have been 720p phones for a while now (Samsung and Sony) so i see no reason why HTC wouldn't catch up with this phone, first with the 8Mp camera :)
 
So, I know Verizon's Equipment Guides have errors and stuff all the time, but which is it:

• Removable Memory — MicroSD
• Removable Memory — MicroSD (up to 16GB)
• Removable Memory — MicroSD (up to 32GB)

Also: "Your ID has been captured and sent to Corporate Security" —*whoa. Someone's got some 'splaining to do, no?

I was wondering this too. Alternatively, can you link the "phone" button to a google voice app because that's where I'll be calling from.

I know I'm crossing my fingers. I haven't followed the other 720p phones, but my assumption is they do it at 15fps, which basically=crap in my mind. I'd still want to carry around my Flip/Vado for any "real" high def video (meaning at least it does 30fps).
 
What I don't understand is if this phone is coming out April 29th, that's three weeks from today, where are the pictures?

At least more pictures.

It's proven stylus's will scratch the screen. I would stay away. My touch has a million tiny scratches on it because you can't honestly use windows mobile (without another ui) without one.

I second that. I think the droid was 720x480 at like 23fps, but the specs on the Snapdragon show capability for 720p at 30+fps, so I'm hoping that's what makes it :)

Actually they do record at 30fps. ;)

All my past HTC phones, including my current touch pro 2, have bottom mini usb ports. The ug show the inc with a right side mini usb. Will HTC or someone make a landscape dock? Is this new for HTC?
