El presidente is referring to a supplemental update that is rolling out after the standard jb update. The supplemental one is only on unbranded handsets at the moment, as far as we know.

did a live chat with one of their reps. He said at&t go through extensive testing to make sure the software is finalized. You will receive a text message when it's available.

So to me he's saying: at&t is bloating the hell out of it. When we finally decide that the One X plus is slowing down in sales then we will release it.

Your analysis seems spot on, much as I hate to admit it. It seems at&t really doesn't care how frustrated their customers get with them, because we're all basically trapped. Letting profits get in the way of helping the people (or really, just fulfilling the expectations of the people) that already pay them money (and lots of it) just doesn't seem right, viable for business though it may be.
 
Called in the local EE shop today and they said it was out on T-Mobile but not orange in the UK - complete waste of time
 
It actually came out on Boxing Day... (look back through the posts in this thread.)
 
I've tried contacting at&t on Twitter with no results. I think they're just waiting until sales dip before they roll out the update. I think I'll be switching to Verizon once my contract is up.

I actually thought we'd see the update before New Years. I hope this doesn't turn into another Thunderbolt phone.

I think the tech community would light AT&T up way too harsh for them to do that. Every time I listen to a podcast they're already screaming AT&T fail about the lack of update (cuz a lot of them are using HOX's) and if the update doesn't come soon they'll freak out even more. Then again, at&t has proven that they really don't care about their customers anyways. So hopefully the professional community around mobile can spur them on.

I still think a lot if it is due to the One X+ being released.

Oh I agree completely. I think AT&T has proven that they value profits over customers. That means that the people buying new devices will get help quicker than those of us that have old devices, even when we are still on contract from our purchases
 
Don't want to dampen anyone's fire. But I have jb on my nexus 7, ok it's a tablet, but it doesn't blow my socks off. When I go from phone to tablet I don't find my self thinking I wish my phone could do this or that. In fact the only thing that bugs me is wanting to rotate the one x on the home screen.

Just my opinion. I wait to be blown away.
 
Just spoke to the guy in the 3 shop and he told me that the rollout for jelly bean on the HOX for the 3 network has been delayed as they are working on Vanilla for another device?
