The $29.99 feature is unlimited for use with a phone.
They were talking about MBB "Air Cards" in which it's a $59.99 charge for 5gb of data, and the tethering which is also capped @ 5GB

Okay, thanks. I guess I am just easily confused. :) Not that I would consider getting one, but I would assume the 5GB limit would apply to the Palm Pre Plus even though you aren't technically paying for a tethering plan.

Can someone please explain Google Voice to me or tell me a site that explains it? Sounds like you have to have a invite to get it. Is that true. You guys are great on this forum even though you keep me up all night reading all the post.

So i sent am email to wirefly asking when they would have the incredible. This is what they told me

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting our Customer Relations department.

In response to your e-mail, we would request you to please contact our sales
department on 1-866-324-9445 to place an order for the HTC Incredible for verizon
and our sales team will assist you accordingly.

Please visit our Customer Support site located at www.whereismyorder.com for the
most up-to-date information regarding your order status and to view or print the
details of your order.

No denial from VZW? That's new.

Once you HAVE it it's free. I paid for my invite today on EBAY. I paid about $7 for 3 invites. They go for as little as .99 if you wait for them to end. I just did a buy it now. You can go here --> RiverRockDVD eBay Sales That is where I got mine. Received them within a few min of paying with paypal.

I only have one phone so not sure this is for me...

UNLESS...I could effectively block an unlimited number of callers by routing them to a fictitious phone # like 555-555-5555!

Is that possible?

Maybe Steve Perry will be introducing the Incredible. That would be fantastic!

If I knew how to use Photoshop I would put a pic of the rendered Incredible in his hand so you will just have to imagine it.

"HEY! No Fair! You said no Journey Psych Outs!"

Does anyone else find it interesting that the User's guide says "HTC Incredible with Google?" Phones with custom UI's typically do not get the Google branding. The Eris for example says Droid Eris by HTC. Is the Incredible going to be a Google Experience phone with SenseUI?

What are your thoughts?
Some Sprint Heroes also shipped with with Google branding. Maybe they adjusted their branding polices?

Hi, you all may've seen me peeking around from behind that tree over there for the past couple months. Sorry I haven't said "hi," yet (I heard that ol' man Steven58 kidnaps kids and puts them in his basement, so I was a little scared ;)).

Anyway, I've come before the council of elders--I consider knowledgeable people "elders," so Steven58 is not included--to see if anyone can answer my question.

(quick point: Steven58 is great, I'm only being sarcastic towards him b/c I think he can take it....unlike Kappy and MM, b/c they get put on "I can't edit my posts" probation :D.)

OK, question...finally (I know, right?!): HTC's Sense adds Exchange capabilities/features to those available in Android, and since I really want my company to allow us to have the Incredible, can anyone point me to a full list of Exchange features that Sense has beyond stock Android?

Specifically, the reason the Droid wasn't approved (yet) has to do with the lack of calendar invite/event "accept" or "reject" in emails and the ability to access the GAL. Some articles (Desire reviews, mainly) indirectly reference Sense having these features, and by extension, the Incredible.

Thanks!

(btw, I've always believed that Google only released the "Google phone" to shine a massive, instant spotlight on Android as a platform and what hardware Google knew was coming, and making money on the N1 itself was a secondary objective to making money through Android adoption.)

Does anyone else think this forum goes in circles? I keep reading strings of questions/answers it's a huge deja vu. I guess it's a product of the size of the thread, and the skimming at accompanies it. Does anyone else notice this?

I noticed and wondered the same thing. Also noted that updates would be from Google. If this was the reason that it was delayed (ie standard Google updates could be applied w/o affecting SenseUI) that would be amazing and worth the wait.

it has a bullet in the EG that says;
OS: Android 2.1, Google Experience Device

I'm gonna bet the incredible gets an announcement monday, on the flyer it said "it's new, it's unique" which infers it's only one device (since MS is rumored to be releasing two). but then it says "living on America's.." so maybe it's that damn microsoft turtle.. :/

Yeah, you know what I meant!

I just dont understand what is so hard about it- it is all right there on verizon's site

unlimited data (on your phone) $30
tethering $15 - 5gb anything over you will be charged
mobile broadband ( this is for wireless aircards, mifi, and netbooks)- 2 options $39.99 or $59.99 with each having its' cap- anything over you will be charged just like if you were to go over your min.s on your voice plan

Fantastic... now other news sources are completely misinterpreting the e-mail sent to Verizon employees today.

This site now claims that the Incredible is OFFICIALLY coming on April 12:
HTC Incredible Officially Coming on April 12th | Gadgets DNA

Funny thing is, unlike so many other sites in previous 'leaks', they've cited androidforums as their source, but they're drawn up their own idiotic interpretation. Words can't express my frustration. Other news sites are probably going to run wild with this story now.

Definitely. Since this is a discussion thread it's hard to keep up, especially for those of us who joined when the UG was leaked...

I think he was just correcting me, in that it isn't capped..it's allotted 5gb. Capped might make you think you couldn't go over that.

I get this in my store a lot, sometimes it just doesn't click for people.

No worries bruddah

@NKT

Any chance you can compare the Incredible test phone battery to the Eris one? If I remember right, they are the same mAh size. I'm just thinking, if they are physically the same, then theoretically you could get the Seidio 1750 mAh battery for the Eris and use it in the Incredible.

JUST A REMINDER....

BE SURE TO PAY YOUR VZW BILL ON TIME. Corporate stores, customer service, and vzw.com will not allow you to upgrade if you have a past due balance. A current balance is cool, but you no will getty the Incredible if you no pay pay past due bill bill.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a class action lawsuit yet. If you look on their website, there are no disclaimers when they advertise for unlimited data. There is a disclaimer for the unlimited voice and text, but not for the data.

The unlimited data that is advertised is for the phone itself which is truly unlimited. Nowhere does it say that tethering is unlimited.

sorry Armbar- really wasn't addressing you directly just trying to clarify it all for people. I know that you know how it works. Really just don't understand what is so confusing for people- but then again I have both a smartphone and the mobile broadband ( no need to tether) so I guess someone coming from a dumb phone may be a little confused-

Maybe I am way off base, but, why can't this be three seperate announcements that total the 6-7 devices:

- It's time to share: Clearly talking about the "pink" devices.
- Let's get Social: Could mean almost any phone/netbook device.
- It's new, It's unique...: This could be the Incredible.

Just my interpretation.
