Group SMS

I am new to JP on my Razr Maxx HD, I came from a Bionic on ICS. I used to be able to send a text to a group set up in my contacts. I still see the group in my contacts, but there is no option to send the group a text.

I use Handcent and clicked on the "GroupSMS" button. It asked me to install the plugin, so I installed all 10 of them from the Google Play store. Still not working.

Any other suggestions?

I use Google voice and can text to 5 people at once. I never need 5, sometimes 2 or 3.

Where do you store all your contacts? In Handcent, I compose a text, press the "+" symbol and a page opens up where you can select the "Group" tab. That then opens up all the places where you have contacts stored and can expand each place. I keep mine in Touchdown, so if I expand that, it opens my 1,000 contacts to select from and add to a group text. There are other pre-existing group labels listed by Handcent that are not populated yet - I haven't figured out how to do that; or create a custom group - not sure how to do that yet either.

EDIT: Under the "Group" tab, there are two sub-tabs, "Phone" and "Handcent." Press Handcent, then hit menu and it gives you the option to "create group" from all contacts stored on your phone.

Thank you. I found the group tab in Handcent. I used to select the group in my contacts, then choose the text option. This way, is opposite, but works just the same.
