whats a good app for texting with the nexus 7 wi-fi . i havent got the google phone so i cant bridge

I like Google Voice. Send/receive texts through your GV number. Also, you can assign your GV number to ring on several phones, including your home phone. Only downside is no mms, just sms.

no google voice works legit with any android device rooted or not, also on the tablet it wont let you call any1 what it will do is if u already assicociated your google voice account with a number that youw own it will just forward the call to that number. also you get to choose a free number from google voice. but the best thing you could do is create a free number, associate that account with your cell phone, then install groove ip onto your tablet and log into with the gmail you created your google voice account with and bam you can call and txt from your tablet through wifi.
