Root Does root perform factory reset?

On my Evo 3D, I used the HTC method to root and it forced a factory reset on the phone. Does the same occur with the RAZR? I'm on ICS.
 
Negative.

When unlocking the bootloader the phone is reset (like on your old phone)... but since the RAZR's bootloader can't be unlocked....
 
I figured I'd ask this here since I started the thread...

Do I have to install the leaked jellybean update before installing any JB roms? I'm on the latest Safestrap.

Depends... If it's a JB ROM using the ICS kernel then no (assuming you are on ICS).

Link to ROM that you are looking at?
