im getting a lil scared now...im really hoping there not tryna release the incredible around the same time as the evo to compete...the evo is in a whole dif world..that would be stupid..

Verizon may release the Incredible last. IMO they will want to get everyone who isn't already in a contract bound in one with the first 5 phones. Then if they release the Incredible last, they know that the tech freaks (like us) will have no choice but to either pay full retail price or the restocking price. And then Verizon gets the big bucks. That is their plan!

17 days until April 29th...that's nothing for us that have been waiting for months for this phone. Hang in there:D

Indeed. 4/29 is 17 days away (ugh :()- that's more than enough time to get everything distributed to warehouses and stores.

To me this definitely validates that the phone is coming the 29th at BBY. :D

first off i want to thank anonimac for his work and getting these leaks to us pronto as we cannot wait any longer!

and want to thank everyone that is possibly private messaging him with any news we can feast our eyes on cause all the info they give to him is greatly appreciated! thanks to all our spies and ninjas where ever you are out there..thank you
 
Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I was under the impression that if you purchase a phone at BB and activate it on verizon (e.g. the incredible), you can go to a corporate store for help with the phone. The only thing you can't do is return/trade phones at the corporate store.
 
Lurker, first post, all of that.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. Still using my LG Dare, with a ruptured battery cell, so it can't do calls, and only 3 texts before I plug it back in. After dealing with the VZW Nexus One deciding not to exist, this thread went from idle speculation to reality. Needless to say, my girlfriend is losing her mind and it's nice to be able to tell her, "soon" with more and more certainty.

Had the SDK for Android right after it was announced. I'm very, very excited about this device.

More on topic... over 2000 mAh battery accessory? That should last.
 
This whole thing reminds me of 2005 when I was waiting for one of the first "superphones" to come to Verizon. The Samsung i730. There's a nugget of news, a leak here and there. People getting pissed off about the long wait.

All the same.

Although we sure as hell didn't have 600+ pages and 32000 posts!

I agree with you, with all the independant leaks we have been getting, I don't get why some people are overreacting that Q2 is going to mean June. This is not CITA we actually have leaked documents to go on not just rumors.

I would think it costs them more than the $35 restock fee per phone to take it back, when you look at the discount they'll have to give on that phone when they resell it, plus the wasted labor hours processing it, checking it out, dealing with customer phone calls, etc.
The last thing I'd want to do is release a phone last that would make 150,000 of my customers want to return the phone they all just bought 1 or 2 weeks prior to that.

Of course, we all know that VZW is not known lately for rolling things out in a seemingly logical manner.


Since I'm posting anyway (see, not wasting a post for it :D ),

More like Excel screenshot which it why it went through hours of vetting...you don't want to know when i got this vs. when i posted it. Still, take it for what it's worth...i certainly don't blame you if you don't believe it.Cheers.
 
I'm slightly surprised that among all the leaks we've had in the past week, such as screenshots, inventory, manuals, etc..that there has been no geniune pictures or video of the incredible. like a LIVE picture, not a digital one from the manual or accessories...they must have this phone tightly secured.

Let's not forget that the leaked BBY document is actually a VZW document pertaining to the BBY account. I believe that this was confirmed by NKT, who also confirmed that the document is in the VZW system (NKT, please correct me if I'm wrong). Independently, you can verify this if you look at the confidentiality statement on the first page of that document all the way at the bottom (in really tiny print). Note the reference that this document is for viewing by authorized VZW employees only.

EDIT: IMHO, pretty solid confirmation of a 4/29 release date.
