With the upcoming accessories, with such a big screen and a powerful device - I'm hoping a 3rd party company comes up with a game pad extension device with analog sticks sort of like this idea:

and an extension keyboard for those heavy chat days like this:

EDIT: I know I'm gonna get criticized with a bunch of "Why in the hell would you ever need that?" But it's just some accessories I think would be good add ons for those days I just feel like gaming or chatting without my laptop. That's all

My one grippe about the sense ui on android is that it doesn't seem to look and feel as smooth an sleek like it is on the HD2 and that bothers me!!! Point in case the flip clock.... if you look carefully, on android the numbers dont actually flip like they do on windows mobile so it looks cheap  as for the animated weather home screen effects idk yet if that happens on android like it does on the HD2 which looks rather nice imho!!!

I def can say as a Touch Pro 2 user... tf3d sense ui 2.5 is bad ass and looks/works so nice and looks awesome that I never get bored of it thus why its one of the most highly wanted ports on wm devices.... htc does/makes great software i just dont know why on android some of it looks ehh

anybody else agree or what??

Well if you think about it they have been developing touch flo for Win Mo for quite awhile and only recently started with sense on Android. I know Sense on 2.1 has a lot of cool effects with the weather, not sure about the clocks. Give them time, they will perfect it and make it amazing....more amazing haha

Oh hell yeah.. that means I have two towers within a mile from me in Phoenix..

If you take a look at the new page on towerco.com you will see that back in 2008 they purchased some 3,000+ towers from Sprint and it specifically states:
"The two companies have also signed a long-term leasing agreement for TowerCo to provide Sprint Nextel with wireless communications towers to support the company

if anybody wants to know if they will have 4g coverage, look on this website and type in your state. there might be wimax towers in your area but sprint probably doesnt have them on their site. TowerCo

THis doesn't show all the towers. I believe just towers that Towerco is involved with. I have checked several known tower locations and come up with no towers on this site.

My thoughts exactly. Also on Android, it doesn't rotate into landscape. The HD2 Sense UI really is the best UI out there, I wish it was ported to Android exactly how it is on the HD2.

The towers on towerco are ones just owner/operated by them from what I can tell. I know in my area there are ALOT more towers then whats listed on there site.

I'd love a pair. Warm toasty Sprint Socks, now with more 4G for odor control.

The socks actually act as mini-Wimax receivers, so every house who owns a pair is guaranteed speedy Wimax connection!

Just don't ever wash them...

It may cause the speeds to tumble around and even come to a dry halt.

Humm... 4G should come home to NYC sometime this Fall, the towers are actually already up (at least in the Staten Island area) I'm still getting the Evo although if the 4G service costs extra I'll hold off on the add-on until I know it's working at the right speed.

Do you have proof or pics of these towers. I would love to see it

Jackson, do you have any idea on how big the HTC Scorpion may be? Just a ballpark guess? I thought it would be somewhat similar to an Ipad in size, but you mentioned it being pocketable so I'm a bit confused.

Will it be more like a tablet or perhaps a bigger mobile device, such as the Dell Mini 5?

Also, any more ideas on what type of screen technology HTC will use on it?

About the Motorola Shadow, I would think it would remain exclusive to Verizon, particularly how Droid has, however, if it ends up being more like a 'Nexus Two', I could see some variants finding their way to other carriers.

I'm glad that the EVO will remain the flagship device for quite a while, I can imagine it still being relevant even 2 years after it's launch.

Thanks for the info.

Wait wait wait......there's a FAKE internet???

Whoa whoa whoa.....am I in it now???

How do I know if this is the fake one or real one??????

OMG does the Matrix have me??????!!?!?!

Geez how old is that guy. I have a feeling a bunch of Sprint Users joined in here lately. Just a feeling.

Another short article about Atmel (the touchscreen manufacturer for the EVO):

iPad Boom Could Catapult Small Chipmaker | Under the Radar | Financial Articles & Investing News | TheStreet.com

Really, not much news, but one interesting tidbit is that Atmel has also been supplying the touchscreen for the iPad, which I feel is promising, since Apple--even to this date--seems to have had the best touchscreen-implementations for their devices. Of course a lot of that is software-related, but I tend to believe that they've been very careful on the hardware side as well. In addition, every review of the iPad that I've read has been unanimously positive in terms of the device's multitouch responsiveness.

The Ulta/ Scorpion has two designs right now. One is iPad like and will be a 4g, 12" device. Hwoever seeing that the most money comes from developing phone, and that it is going to be the successor of the Evo, there is also a 4.5" model in the works.

Like i said it will not be releaesed until next year along with the moto shadow, but hey never hurts to look ahead!

GO EVOOOO!!!

Jackson

Wow, you're up early (or really late) Jackson! I thought I was the only one still up (3:30AM Western)... Typing a paper...

tower co is probably just part of the build out which means there would be more towers around.

Sprint will have its own exclusive Motorola device, which surpasses the Droid in every way. Other carriers are in discussion with carrying this said Motorola Shadow device, as other manufacturers want to go the "Google" route, and have numerous carriers carry the device. This is the case with the Samsung Galaxy S and ZTE.
