Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

ya just edited my post in other thread, i put the files in sdk/tools directory then used
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework

The sensors were fixed in R8. It is advised that you upgrade to the current version. Then your sensors should work more accurately.

Since we don't really have active mods for this section of the forums, I thought I'd post this request:

Out of respect for BH_MAN and others working hard to get 1.6 revisions out for us, please refrain from posting theme related questions and notification bar color discussions in this thread.

For those interested, Microhaxo has been able to get us a black notification bar. He has also been working diligently to get us white font for the clock, but has been unsuccessful thus far. He was however able to get something even better in my opinion... ;)

Head over to this thread for more discussion, links, and screen shots of the current black bar he was able to build for us:

Thank you everyone!

Is anyone else having an issue with the backlight? No matter what I do, once the phone goes to sleep, the brightness goes back to the default.

Is this a 1.6 issue or something with this release? Thanks.

These are both known issues. There is a fix for alarm, read the OP. As far as yahoo good luck everyone has that problem.

We really need to stop clutering this board with the same posts over and over again. Thanx.

for the ppl posting known bugs, wanting old media player, etc. u obvouisly dont read the first page, nor the whole page to atleast check because everything that you guys are saying has already been brought up!

So, after a few days of running R8, I have had no problems (aside from ones already know to be bugs from this release), but the battery life is terrible. If I get a full days use out of it I'm lucky. The only problem I've had so far has been with adb. This is the first time I've needed to use it, and evidently it isn't possible to properly install the adb drivers if I have 64 bit Vista. Does anyone know of a workaround?

Also, to address earlier questions, I'm running Swype and have not had any problems with it at all, but if I try to enter text too quickly, the screen doesn't react fast enough to the initial touch.

Update: Got it working thanks to people that responded to this. Sorry for asking this in this thread. I also posted here to comment on the battery life so it wasn't entirely out of place

vista is the easiest one to set up adb, as for the bit... you need to google how to disable the signed drivers!

32 bit Vista isn't a problem, but I've read in a few places that 64 bit Vista isn't compatible with adb, and I haven't found a solution for it, and it has nothing to do with the signed drivers. Thank you though

um yes it does lol, I already did it! the problem with vista and 7 64 bit is that they don't allow unsigned drivers, so when you boot up your computer you need to hit the F8 key and then select disable signed drivers, you need to do this everytime you reboot your computer!

I can vouch, every time I want to adb I reboot and select disable signed drivers. If you've already tried to load the drivers, then do this first and then try to reload them. I run Vista 64 on my laptop.

Does anyone even know how to read? Good lord. Stop asking questions that have been asked a thousand times in this thread alone.
