Lock screen with Tasker

Is there a way to use Tasker to create a widget to lock the screen (instead of using the power button)? Or maybe with Secure Settings? I kinda see everything but. Maybe I'm overlooking something.

I know I can with Widgetsoid, but I'd like to do it with Tasker if possible. I'm running JB 4.2.2 on a Nexus 10 (rooted).

Open tasker and click thr Tasks tab, then the green plus sign to make a new task. Name it "Off".
Now click the blue plus and select Display, then System Lock. Click green checkmark to save. Now all you have to do is select an icon for the task and you're done.

Thanks, I already checked that out. You need to enter text in the code field. I have no idea what that would be.

Where do you need to enter this text? In Tasker when you create the task or when you unlock the phone?

If your phone is protected with a password or PIN code, then it's obvious that you have to enter this when you unlock the device... But I never saw Tasker ask for a code. Guess you are doing something wrong there...

When you create a task with Display > Lock it requires numeric data inputted in the Code field (it asks for "text," but it appears to want a pin number or such) .

I may have mis-spoken with what I want to do. I don't want to lock the screen, simply turn it off the way hitting the power button does. So this task is probably not what I'm after anyway.

I ended up installing Widgetsoid and letting it take care of it, since I had already purchased it for my phone. Problem solved. :-)
