Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Unable to toggle 4g on stock and metropolis 4.1.2 touchwiz

yungblu904

Newbie
I was wondering if anyone is having the same problem as me and how to solve it.
What is happening is I toggle my 3g and 4g alot depending on if I wanted to save battery or just would like use 4g or 3g depending on which gets the strongest signal at the time.
With 4.0.4 I was always able to achieve that now the I happily updated I'm Unable to toggle. I use phone info app to toggle back and forth and soon ask I do it switched to 3g like I asked but after it becomes unresponsive to any networks I selected when trying getting back to 4g,so I'm stuck on 3g. The first time this happened I was on metropolis 1.0.5 (I had to re flash stock or flash cm10 with restoring my nv) and I figured It was rom bug but now I see it's a 4.1.2 PROBLEM.
CAN ANYONE TOGGLE THRU 4G AND 3G FREELY ON 4.1.2 WITHOUT A PROBLEM???
PLZZ HELP THIS IS A MAJOR PART OF MY PHONE USAGE.:banghead::confused:

Not sure entirely what could be the problem but try a factory data reset. But do a back up of your stuff first. I'm working with hidden menu stuff to see if I can find a better toggle since I'm sure what u just wanna do is turn off 4g but keep some sort of data going like 3g. And I'm sure there might be some apps for that but I prefer to make my own toggle if anything I'll post back here.

well got some good news i did manage to test a hidden menu and it worked great it manage to toggle my 4g off and bring up 3g the only thing i will tell u please use caution when messing with these settings. i panicked and tried to reboot thinking i was stuck on 4g without calls turns out i had to put it on global and its working fine now. But i repeat im not responsible for anything ya might do ya phones. last case scenario just flash tar again and ya should be fine but its working fine for me.

before you try install QuickShortcutMaker its like any cut but works great with jellybean and lets you try stuff before making shortcut so thats a plus.

QuickShortcutMaker

now open quickshortcutmaker and scroll to almost the bottom till u find this.

u can select try to test it out other wise clock ok to create shortcut on home screen.

then open shortcut and select network mode:

then if u want to turn off 4g and just stay on 3g select cdma and if you want to go back to the cdma/4g hybrid you gotta select global mode.

I don't have ANY ultraCfg activities listed...is that why I have no 4g?
