What games does this fine community play with their Nexus 7?

I play a lot of games on my Nexus 7 and was curious as to what games are played by the rest of the community here? Here is my list, in no particular order: Vector, Jetpack Joyride, Gunslugs, Babylonian Twins, Jazz, Robo Defense, Megatroid, Plague Inc, Royal Revolt, Modern Combat 4, Sonic CD, Supersonic, Live Holdem.

Air Navy Fighters Lite (wanted to buy full version but Google Play won't let me buy)
Temple Run 1 & 2

i dont play much games but my favorites are: nun attack, highway rider, & Grand theft auto VC

I spend all of my absent days (coined 'absent days' because the presence of my brain is not required, such as carnival days and free days) playing GTA Vice City. You should see the crowd that is pulled when you whip out a 360 controller and start playing Grand Theft Auto at the swimming carnival.

To me it brings back all of the childhood memories and it's just SO open. It's long and features varying missions and contents. If you're bored of just playing missions and finishing off the game then you can grab a car and just hoon around.

Many a days have been wasted on this game already and more will be wasted in the future. If you're a nostalgic kind of person it's definitely well worth the five dollars. Especially with controller support right out of the box. Can't go wrong.

Pitfall and Age of Zombies are my favorites.

This thread inspired me to look into Jetpack Joyride, when I discovered it's from the same developer as Age of Zombies I immediately installed it. I'll take it for a spin later today.

Thanks for the tips, everybody. I love a good thread about games.

Nice to know others are getting their game on. Anyone know any good tower defense games(free or paid)? I will waste countless hours playing these kinda games. For any other tower defense enthusiast check out Royal Revolt. It's a reverse TD game with great controls. Give it a try, it's free and can be finished in a few days. Enjoy.

Fieldrunners HD is by-and-large my favorite tower defense game. Great graphics, fun to play. There's also Jelly Defense, but I'm not as big of a fan of that one.

I know this is going to sound like spam but if you have an Amazon account you may want to install their app store. Everyday they have a free paid app of the day some of which are games. Most of them are duds or are not for me but I have found a few that I really like.

Can I download the AMZN app store and have it live in harmony with Google Play (on the same device) or are the two mutually exclusive?

Thanks!

Good call with the Amazon app store "free app of the day", I personally have accumulated 554 free apps from them o.0. Yes, you can certainly have both the Amazon app store and Google Play on the same device.

Been playing Warcraft II and GTA III mostly with a little Osmos(?) every now and then. Mostly I have been catching up on TV.

BTW, anyone know of a way to sideload the xperia version of Galaxy on Fire 2? I have it for my phone with all the extra missions but I can't get those extras with the THD version.

You'll be cool, I'm running both on mine no problem. :)

One warning about the Amazon app store. Yes, it works harmoniously with the Google "Play" market. However, if at some future date you decide to remove the Amazon app store, all the apps you downloaded from Amazon will quit working. So once you've installed and downloaded apps from the Amazon store, you're pretty much committed if you want to keep those downloaded Amazon apps working. Neall

Let's see...

NBA 2K13
NFL Pro 2013
Modern Combat 3
Nova 3
Shadowgun
Dead Trigger
Dead Space
Mass Effect Infiltrator
Duke Nukem 3D
GTA 3
Guerilla Bob
Zombiewood
Genesis
Wild Blood
Asphalt 7
Anomaly Earth HD
Anomaly Korea

It seems to me that the Nexus is best for console-quality games and N64 and PS1, whereas simpler games like tower defense and GBA, SNES, and Genesis and are more suited for my phone.

Please respond, do you have framerate issues with Nova 3? I have horrible framerate issues on my Nexus 7 running Nova 3, and I heard it was optimized for Nexus 7, some bullshit that is.

I haven't had any problems or issues playing Nova 3, and I've played through a good chunk of the campaign so far. Maybe its cause I haven't updated passed 4.1.2?

Might be, I'm on 4.2.2. Also did you install NOVA 3 from a different source? I heard of people modding it to get rid of their lag

No, I downloaded from the market.

I wonder if its possible to do a poll of what software versions people are running who have these frame rate problems?
