Hello Superman...er, I mean Clark (the glasses being off fooled me :D).

I presume it was working at normal volume before, and now it's lower and you're wondering why.

How clean is the area around the earpiece? Cotton swabs with rubbing alcohol can clear that off if done gently and more than once.

Have you dropped the device lately? Are your settings the same as before.. that's one thing that can fool some users, as they go into the menus to set volume on an app etc and inadvertently lower the earpiece volume.

If all checks out well, it's possible that damage has occurred at some point. Unless you have a defective unit and it just now is showing the issue.

HI- I got the Optimus G and the volume in call was so low I took it back and got the HTC One X+. A little thin for my liking but the volume was chunks better. I think these developers are getting away with total murder fooling the public with these horrible volume calls. Something big needs to be done. For all the good features with the Optimus G, but a terrible volume in call made me switch to HTC One X+. Now I think I'm going to get the HTC One(M7) when it comes out. Very depressing, I was so looking forward to the Z. I work in a gossip filled IT environment and HTC appears to be the way to go. I do not think even the Samsung Galaxy IV will be better than the HTC One based on call quality. Probably might check out the next Atrix or something to see if the in-call is better, but so far nothing beats the One.
