Smart move on their part. They've built a brand (Droid) and they're milking it for everything they can. I'd expect that they will call all their Android phones "Droid _____" this way it'll be like Verizon's "iPhone ____". Hopefully Sprint will come up with a good advertising campaign for the Evo. It may be a superior device, but it needs catchy and concise marketing too.Why the hell do they call it the "Droid Incredible"? Strange. But finally VZW admits it exists and sets a release date![]()
Agreed. I looked at the HD2 in the T-Mobile store and it did seem more dynamic than what I see on Android. From what I've read, you are probably right that it has to do with Android limitations. My understanding is that Android's lack of visual appeal stems from the OS itself. Hopefully they will fix this soon, but I've been dissatisfied with Google on the UI front for awhile now, so I don't have high hopes.Yeah, I just like the crazy graphic effects the HD2 has compared to the Android version of Sense UI. The Sense on the HD2 is much better than the TF3D the Touch Pro (1/2) had. You should take a look at a T-Mo store.

I think it is just the Desire with capacitive buttons on the face instead of hardware buttons. Good luck with Verizon plan prices. IMHO Verizon is a lot like Ben Roethlisberger, they are both big, well known and will take advantage of you.Why the hell do they call it the "Droid Incredible"? Strange. They pay lucas films good money for that name
My guess is with all the marketing droid does (get it???) they want to attach the name to everything.

Call me a skeptic, because I am in this case. Show me the Verizon "official" specs and I'll believe it. We should be seeing those soon. The photo that was posted earlier looks great and I'm pleased that the Incredible people are finally going to get their phone. Looks like they're even get it before we get ours.the specs have been out for a while now - they were in the user manual that leaked.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but since HTC seems to have so many phones out there... Would they want to compete against their own products?? I mean since Verzion is releasing the Incredible April 29th.. would they want sprint to release the EVO at the around the same time??

Yeah, weird.
It worked not too long ago.
They are not really competing against their own products. There are a ton of people who will not switch carriers no matter what, even if the best phone in the world "EVO" comes out. Wether it is loyalty or they love the service or they are brainwashed it doesn't matter. So what HTC has done is position themselves on every carrier with several different level of phones running on 2 of the top platforms. It is not self competition it is freaking GENIUS!! They offer a phone for every different level of tech experienced customer on every carrier. This will in turn equal $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Sorry if this is a dumb question but since HTC seems to have so many phones out there... Would they want to compete against their own products?? Yes, but here's the photo:

Edit: I'd take the EVO over this any day. They're saying this is a 3.7" screen? Maybe it just looks small compared to the EVO 4G?
